[QUOTE="BeeefIsGoood"]yeah, gamespot crushed the local guys. gamespot ate up ebgames, ebx, and planet x...Stormtide
Wow I didn't know that!
im sure you know what i meant...
I have come to the point where I really don't wish to continue doing business with Gamestop. I have found a great game store in the Dallas area that gives much better prices for trade-ins and sells used games for about $5-$10 less than Gamespot. Unfortunately, there only seems to be one in the Dallas Metroplex while there seems to be a Gamestop at every major intersection. Are there more Independent stores in other places, or has Gamestop pretty much crushed all the local guys across the country?wmg1299Where is this independent store in Dallas and what is its name?
I remember when babages was around...oh babages. Then there was some game store that started with an F. But Gamestop ate them both=[
In my area all we have are Gamestops and whatever Blockbuster's game "store" is. It's a shame too since it's been my experience that the independent stores always have the better selections, prices, and service.
I have 2 local shops in my area that sometimes have really good games but I prefer buying from Gamestop since I can try games for 7 days and they have a better warranty on there games
There actually is a very good independant store that is better than any gamestop there is. There are 4 gamestops that are all around my house but this independant store gets more business because of the better trade in values and better prices of used games. Notice how gamestop just sells you the disk as it is, which may have some scratches? The store I visit always uses one of those disk repair machines to sell you a used games as if it was brand new. I only give my business to this store :D
