It's a fighting game, most, if not all fighting games do not dwelve into any character's sexual relationships. That's not how it works. They are games. Games.

first off, I don't HAVE to justify my interest in this topic. its sex. its one of the fundaments of human experience, it can be applied to any subject, and its almost always interesting, if not relevant or "appropriate"

that being said, I tend to label most of these SF characters as asexual since a number of them are committed enough to their fighting careers that they might reasonably have abandoned their love lives. sure, I can see sakura having an interest in men (okay, one man), but can you picture the same for Makoto?

and since you brought it up, given the CRAZY stuff that mario goes through to save peach, he's either getting delicious cake at the end of every game, or he's literally a paladin in overalls. as for freeman, the only choice he ever makes in his games is to work for the G-man, and we don't know why (if there is a reason at all) he's mute. so he's a big question mark. alex is less ambiguous.
