I was a huge fan of "Full Spectrum Warrior" and I am thinking of getting "Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway" when it comes out but I have never played any of the "Brothers in Arms" games.

Are there any similarities in these games (I am hoping that "Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway" will have the same strategic element like "Full Spectrum Warrior" where you have to slowly and carefully tell your AI teamates to go and flank enemies with them etc.

I have a feeling though that "Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway" might be a more arcadey shooter type game though.

Thanks for any info.

I'm a huge FSW fan as well, and vaguely remember playing the original Brothers in Arms back on the XBox. There are similarities (mostly in how you move your squad), but Brothers is more hands on control wise as I remember. It was basically a FPS with the ability to move your squad around like in FSW, where in FSW you gave commands from more of an objective standpoint. Brothers is not an arcadey shooter at all though, and is very tactically oriented.

I'd love to see a new FSW....the original was very under-appreciated and deserved more praise. It was originally developed to help train soldiers small squad tactics and was polished up for commercial release.

No, BiA is a tactical FPS, while FSW is an tactical simulator aimed to demonstrate that soldiers can't hit an enemy who has his elbow behind cover.

I think they made it like that to force the player to flank, use grenades, and to generally encourage better tactics than a full on frontal assault.

Maybe... and that surely benefits the game in terms of depth. But still I can't say FsW is that realistic.

Man, even that post reads like it's from a decade ago. Seriously, 187: Ride or Die and 007: Nightfire? Wouldn't surprise me at all if this guy was another spam bot.
