Yeah probably and it deserved it too. The games weren't very good, yes the origional Turok on N64 was fun at first until Golden Eye came out and then there was no reason to ever play Turok ever again. There are WAY better FPS games out there then this series, and the series doesn't even make sense, humans didn't live with dinosaurs, this isn't the Flintstones. And the last Turok game they made was a waste of time, lol I remember someone told me that Turok was their favorite series of games ever and I was

I was thinking this too. Focus on a new Turok, put him in the Lost Lands, and give him as many BFGs as possible.

I don't think we've seen the last of Turok (for better or for worse).

I have to agree with you. The best one was the N64 original and then it went downhill for the series. T2 looked good for a N64 game but it was boring while T3 was a kinda ripping-off Half-Life. Evolution was nothing special and the last one was kinda cheap. I call the series dead.

I'd be shocked if a new Turok was announced, due to an already saturated and competitive fps market.

Just before the last Turok game came out, I was really excited about it..until I played it. lol I hope the series isn't dead because I'd like to see another Turok game that is as fun to play as the origional was.

It was unfortunately the first game I bought when I got my PS3 and I wouldn't give you a dime for any sequel. That was awful. It was like the developers went through the entire game and anytime they found something remotely fun, they replaced it with something frustrating instead.

Am i the only here who actualy realy enjoyed the last one? I thought it was intense, especialy the part at the end when you battle the T-Rex. Co-op and multiplayer was also realy fun.

The only Turok game that i've invested some time in was the original on the N64. Lots and lots of fog, but the game wasn't terrible and I enjoyed the premise behind it. Today, the series has been pretty much dead to me. I remember downloading the demo for the last one on 360 and I was not interested after going through the demo.

I absolutely loved the first two games on n64, the first is still one of my favorite games of all time. After that it went downhill; the 3rd one was "okay", Evolution was a frustrating mess and the 2008 reboot was godawful in almost every aspect.

It's a dead series. That's too bad. I liked the first one. And it was kind of cool having a main protagonist with Native American ancestry.

Yeah, I'd call it just about dead. The games on the N64 were great though.

To be honest, I think the only Turok game I ever played was the latest one. I have it, and was actually considering playing it again today. I didn't finish it the first time around, but I will start it again when I decide to play it again :). I don't think it's dead, it's quite a biggish name. I see them at least try to reboot it once more in the future.

It needs a reboot for sure. But they need to nail down the mechanics better and worry less about gimmick kills and crap. (even though stabbing a Raptor in the throat was satisfying) Something RPG-ish like Fallout or like an FPS GTA game, lots of discovery and story. I want more depth in games TBH... All games.

This is off topic but who else would actually like to see a Turok movie? It'd be like Jurassic Park but with the dinos getting the business end of a sharp implement. Gory as hell.

I can certainly say for sure that the latest entry in the Turok franchise was better than AVP 2010... lol. Still a very average game though. Honestly, I don't think they should touch Turok ever again but in the right hands and creative minds, killing dinosaurs COULD be fun again.

Actually, wouldn't this classify as an FPS that kills dinosaurs?

I think it is, at least for a long time. It's a shame too because the last Turok did everything wrong that it could. It didn't make the fans happy, it turned it into a generic military/space shooter and the weapons sucked. The only reboot fail bigger than this would have to be Shadowrun.
