Is there anyway to get better when there is an advance online community?

If there is anyway to get better with an advance online community i would like to know. Virtua Fighter 5 and Dead or Alive 4 are tuff communities to break into because nearly everyone is very good. Is there any advice or i should just take my beatings like man.

Practice makes perfect. When you keep on getting your ass beat over and over, you tend to pick up how other players play and makes them in a way predictable. So, there is no shame on losing, as long as you learn from defeat.
