My PS1 still works brilliantly, PS2 is crocked though. I think when releasing a second console companies panic with trying to generate profit so go for too many cheap options. My original xbox still runs like a dream but I'm on my third 360. Haven't had any problems with PS3 so I reckon they ironed out the PS2 bugs hopefully MS will take a leaf from this book with their next console and will find a happy balance where they aren't losing millions in manufacturing but also aren't releasing a cheap system prone to breaking down.
I had one a long time ago in my room but my room was not kept very well and the flap of it broke off. It eventually got crushed under a pile of junk and had to be thrown out.
