KOTOR or Fable. Jade Empire doesn't really hold up well. Do you want a Star Wars RPG or a hack'n'slash fantasy RPG? Both are great games.

I do not believe Jade Empire will even run on Windows 7 and KOTOR is superior to both.  KOTOR all the way.

I'd say KotoR first, then Fable and then Jade Empire. All three are worth owning. I never did finish Jade Empire, but it's a great game.

All 3 are good games, Fable and KotOR I would consider to be great.

  1. Knights of the Old Republic
  2. Fable
  3. Jade Empire

In that order

If you want an great Role Playing experience choose KOTOR. If you want more action than Role Playing choose Fable. I have not played Jade Empire so I put it on the third spot, but by the looks of it it ain't bad.

I have KOTOR, KOTOR II and Fable the Lost Chapters.

it is a close call which is more fun - KOTOR or Fable TLC.

the story of KOTOR has more depth and is more immersive while Fable....hard to describe other than to say I find it to be more fun.

KOTOR you have a more intense story with more action.

a much better story line with choices that have a real impact on the outcome.

if you are more of a hard core gamer this is your choice.

if you just wanna have some fun

The appeal of the Fable games has always been that they are a guilty pleasure and a great way to pass the time

Fable .... when you feel like doing a quest you can do one - otherwise go ahead and cool your heels in a town and flirt with girls...or if you would rather

you can flirt with guys - search for easter eggs - do some leveling up - make cash and do side quests

in how many other video games can you buy a house and either rent it out or get married....and do that in each town in the game world

Honestly as much as I love both KOTOR games, I feel like the gameplay doesn't hold up well anymore. Especially if you're already familiar with them you don't have that additional enticement of lore and exploration (which is the main draw of a dialogue driven RPG, right?). Jade Empire is seriously underrated- bland combat aside there are some great quests and interesting characters throughout the whole game. Fable has great production values and is just plain fun to breeze through. My recommendation: Fable if you want something enjoyable right off the bat, or Jade Empire if you don't mind dealing with some wonky mechanics.

All 3 are amazing and were probably one of the best in their genre at the time. I've played all 3 and I probably had the most fun with Fable:TLC, because it was my type of game. Don't get me wrong though, the other 2 are also definitely worth playing. You can't go wrong, just find one you think looks best and go with it. If you enjoyed it, chances are you'll enjoy the other two if you give it a chance. Happy gaming

It's a good game, but not as good overall as the other two.

Some have pointed this out, but it comes down to what you want to play. They are all great games on their own but they're all very different experiences. Kotor is the generic bioware experience through and through. It's good, but.. if you've played any bioware game you know what you're in for. Fable is special, it's hard to describe since it's one of my favorite old xbox games, simply because of it's feel and immersion. Simply just being in Albion is nice. Jade Empire, is also a bioware experience, but it's also trying to be something different. Looking through most games these days, jade will at least stick out and be different, in a good way. It's one of those franchises that should've gotten more face time. If it had a more fluid combat system, more people would probably praise it. out of those three titles, I'd recommend Jade Empire.. simply because the others have been improved upon, and you'll most likely compare them to later itterations or games that have taken inspiration from them, making them seem less impressive. All of them should be played through though.
