I prefer ninja myself, but yes, in terms of a great ninja franchise, team ninja, seems to develop all of them, DOA, and Ninja Gaiden.

one thing you could say though is that there is at least one good ninja franchise (ninja gaiden), which you cant say for samurai or pirates, at least in the current gen

especially samurai, i agree though all 3 of these could use some loving (i like samurai best sooooo go for them developers :D)

I think they could do something cool with the Naruto license of they didn't make a simple fighting game or something that was based directly on the show. Something along the lines of an RPG where you can just create your own ninja and develop the kinds of techniques you wanted. You could travel around the Naruto world, and the characters from the show could be present in it, but they wouldn't be the main focus. This would cater to a lot more than just the fans of the series, it could even draw in traditional gamers.

Ninja Gaiden was a good game. But Hayabusa wasn't much of a Ninja in my opinion. He didn't do the usual ninja stuff: stealth, climbing buildings, assassinations. He was more of a samurai than a ninja.

This is basicly what Assassin's Creed was, he just didn't look enough like a ninja to be considered one.

I would play that game, that is a great idea, and I have thought of that before.

assassin's creed is definitely a beautiful game but there just wasn't enough to do after you finished the campaign. plus guards attacking you just because you walk past them on a horse was really annoying. that horrible beeping of your yellow status drove me insane
