Seriously, though -- for Kingdom Hearts fans who missed out on COM the first time, this is definitely the best way to play it. While the new stuff is small (a few so-so minigames in Hundred Acre Wood, additional voice acting from the Sixth Sense kid, etc.), my memory of Chain of Memories hasn't changed: It's a pleasant little title that reminds me how much I want Kingdom Hearts 3.

Anyone else getting this? This and Persona 4 will give more life to the PS2.

It was a no brainer for me. I picked up the GBA version after playing TWENY (same team), so a PS2 version with different graphics and at a low price -- gotta get it.

Ah I love the series so much. I spent over 6 months on KH:CoM including the summer holidays when it first came out. I did everything to make a perfect file, for both Sora and Riku's stories. And I'm still eager to play this game on the ps2 again and start from scratch, even though I'm way past my prime on the card battle knowledge thing.

This game was my first Kingdom Hearts game, one that I finished completely on my own, and even with the high learning curve of the card battling, it still holds a special place in my gba collection. So I'm definitely seeing myself getting this game, even if it's not the complete package that Japan got, what with Final Mix+ and all  :(

Chain of Memory was my least favorite game of the series. For some reason the card based battle system wasn't doing it for me. The story was good though and I thought that it tied into Kingdom Heats 2 rather well. I'm still going to purchase this though....maybe playing through it again on the PS2 will make it better.

I actually liked the story from this game better than KH2's story, since there was no confusion as to what kind of story it was trying to tell (bringing back Maleficent and focusing on the Heartless again for so long in KH2 = bad idea). I'm still frustrated at Square Enix's confounding decision for not releasing the Final Mix versions outside of Japan, but at least I'll finally get to fight Zexion.

I agree. Kingdom Hearts 2 had more of an "RPG" feeling.

I didn't realise they were doing this :) I wish my PS2 would still work but I can't get it to read discs any more  I wonder if I should put some cash aside and get another.

It's nice that they're bringing this over, but I already had my fill with the import version so my only reason to get this would be to watch the story in English. I liked the progression of the story in this game, but the gameplay itself wears itself thin for me towards the end of the game. I definitely felt that the game was a little harder than the GBA version, but that's because I'm terrible at the card battle system.

Anyway, I'm curious if Haley Joel Osment will take the role as Sora again. His voice seems like it would be a bit deep for Sora before KH2, but that's just a little nitpicking.

CoM was such a nice switch. The card battling is so fast paced, but strategic at the same time. I much preferred it to the main series, which didn't require all that much thought really. I wouldn't want the whole series to be set up that way, but it was a good interlude between main games and I would love to play it full-sized. I should put this on my wishlist.
