male or female character?

when the game gives you the chance... which do you choose and why?

I always choose female characters... and before someone tries to go freudian on me...

If I'm gonna spend 20+ hours seeing my character's backside... it better be a girl's backside :lol:

Depends on the games story, sometimes I like being female to see what dialogs appear or if the choice of different relationships come up. (rarely happens.) But usually I'm male character, why well just because I am male, I'm boring! yay! But on some games honestly they make females weaker, don't know why I like the option of choosing and character customs, makes a game better. yes they may be weaker (physically) characters... but also faster...

women, being as smart and intelligent as they are will notice the "no girls on the internets" part was just a joke and will forgive me because of their kindness :)

That depends really. It depends on which character I think I'll like best. I'd pick Jill Valentine over Chris Redfield for example, yet I'd pick Leon over Claire. Silent-Hal

Most of the time I'll pick a female charater for astetic reasons. Like the thread poster, If I'm going to be stuck looking as the same person for the entire time I play I want some who is easy on the eyes.

Sometimes there are other reasons. For example, Guild Wars: Nightfall has a class called the paragon. They have a very angelic look about them. There is something really unnerving about the male paragons. Since I rarely ever see a male paragon I assume I'm not the only one who finds them kinda creepy.

The way the male paragon dances doesn't help, either. I would also toss in the Ritu, as watching a male perform the complex ritual animations is somewhat disturbing as well, whereas with the female, it just has this elegance that by itself makes the class worth playing.

I tend to use the female characters more often than not. I usually just tell people "it's because they're fast!" but I'm not sure if I really mean it.

Lol, For those that fell for such a deception know that the difference between the sexs are. Male= Ugly, smell, gruff, filthy, insane but in charge. Females=Cute, hugable, lovable creatures with boobs and bum. Yeh natrually it would seem female was the better choice but in a game don't overlook the power of male.
