male or female character?

I normally pick female characters because the skills devs normally associate to them: they may be weak and smaller... but fast, high mobility characters. I think the first game I started doing so was in Street Fighter II... I used to pick Chun Li (when games only featured 1 female fighter) and a slap storm and kick rain descended over my rivals :lol:

First I just picked her because every one else was picking Ryu and Ken (and honestly all the other characters fighting styles sucked) but I ended up liking her style a lot.

So I blame Chun Li for my female characters in videogames addiction :evil:

btw, and I don't mean to be rude or something, why are videogames, in general, really not popular among the girls??? is the lack of sunlight? the 99.999% male population ready to surround them like vultures on the games chatrooms or over XBL? is the violence? the lack of pink and/or any other pretty cute color? (this last statement is gonna bite me in the butt later :lol: )

The video game industry has only recently become something thats mainstream. Video games use to besynonymouswith over-weight dorky guys playing in a basement somewhere. Now that video games are everywhere, a lot of girls are getting into them too. We usually won't be up at 3am trying to get the Seriously 2.0 achievement in GoW2, but you'd be surprised how many girls are gamers now.

it's true the fact that back in time during that crazy age we call the 80's (when I was a 5yo kid and my jaw dropped when I took my first glance at those awesome NES graphics) it was only "socially acceptable" to play videogames IF you were a small kid... but all those 16-25yo dudes who used to play games? well they were if fact labeled as dorks/nerds... but you know what? now that I think about it, they were actually dorks :lol:

but since nowadays videogames are not only socially accepted, but in fact a cool thing to do, not only nerds plays them, but even some of those caveman-type dudes who used to beat the **** out of those nerds on junior highschool are playing them too.

but the fact remains that nowadays (after more than 20 years of gaming industry) gamergirls are still scarce...

i mainly play as females but in fable 2 with a maxed out female character??? scary also my saints row 2 chick sort of looks like the blob after i messed with it and also i dont know why they bothered offering the choice in fallout 3 3rd person is weird and in 1st person you dont see notthin they should have just made it an transexual and gotten on with itbluemistake2

hahaha yeah maxing all the physique on fable2 is not for a female character (actually looks better with no upgrade in physique at all)... but you can max everything else and she still will look both hot & deadly...

anyway is not like you need all the stats max up to beat the game... you can beat it with a inferno spell lvl 3 & a time control lvl 2 without even sweating a bit...
