ME3 to Have Same-Sex Romance

It makes sense that ME3 would have the possibilities of same-sex romance. One of the big themes of the series is ethics and philosophy.

If you're playing as the male Commander Shepard, I suppose one issue is whether you believe being gay would affect Commander Shepard's masculinity.

its kind of amusing that forumites were fine with looking over how you could have same sex romance before (nevermind with a different species. its exotic, amirite?) with two women. the same option is now available for two guys and suddenly we get comparisons to beastiality and "keep homosexuality out of mah mass effect!" im not saying that homosexuality is not moral (because i truly dont believe that), but it seems people are more apt to bring out the morality card when the type of homosexuality in question doesnt give them a boner.LoG-Sacrament

You, my friend, have hit the nail squarely on the head.

To those protesting, I have a simple message: if you don't like it, don't play it! You, the player, determine Shepard's character. If you don't want him to be gay he's not. This has no effect on your play. Grow up.

I just think it's funny that in a game where you can choose to blatantly murder someone or have gay relationships, people are morally opposed to the relationship.

I'm pretty sure you could do that in the previous ones....

More options is always better, I just hope Kaiden or some other in-the-closet male subtly starts flirting with you (as male Shepard) as you normally converse with them, that would be awkward.

Is the same-sex romance a required part of the game? Like, will it be there no matter what your choices are?

I would assume the same-sex stuff is optional. I hope it's optional.

The same sex romances are optional, the whiners are making it sound like it isn't. The player has the option in accordance to their actions through the game, if they want their male or female Shepard to form a relationship with someone of the same gender, then that is up to the player.

Anyone else remember when Bioware used to focus on the actual story in their games?

As long as ME3 has a great story and is fun to play that's all I care about. Girl on girl action? Hey I can find it better on the internet :P

I wouldn't mind a bit of girl on girl but making male Shepard gay really takes away the badassness of him
