Yup. I have the original Ps2 version with the 'making of' dvd, as well as MGS2: Substance for the XBox.
Recently, I picked it up again after beating MGS4, and the variety of game play still holds up today. If I were to choose my favourite from the series, then it would have to be this one. Each title is cool in their own right, but Sons Of Liberty definitely has a special place in my gaming heart. The overall experience sticks with you long after the first run through.
It ticked all the boxes that make a successful sequel. It had fun with those who'd played the original, (incorporating shades/hallmarks of the previous title, and putting a clever twist on them), while still managing to feel accessible and fresh to newcomers alike.
