Other M(not a bad game, but it was hyped to hell and was soo disappointing) 2. Metroid Prime Pinball(just unneed...) 3. Metroid Prime hunters(It's just boring, but the online was impressive at the time) 4. Prime 3(ehh didn't like it...) 5. Metroid(clunky and not that fun anymore) Bad Metroids 1. Metroid 2(I actually adore this game, but it's only fun with a guide, without one it's just a ****ing mess.) My 2 favorite franchises ever, while they are both very close, Zelda is just better. Nintendo ignores Metroid too much. Where is Metroid 5? It's been like 12 years?
Zelda easily, I've never been a huge Metroid fan. Metroid isone of those franchises I can recognize as being very good, but I simply have a hard time getting into the games.
I think Legend of Zelda is a better series, but only because more money and time has been devoted to it. If Metroid had equal amount of resources, it would probably be superior. I love both though.
Both are obviously incredibly prestigious series, but I have never quite finished a Metroid game. For whatever reason I just couldn't get into Super Metroid, Prime 1 or Prime 2 even though I bought both games. I'll retry them eventually (if I can find them), but maybe Metroid just isn't for me. Zelda games are my favorite ever, so I'm sticking with Zelda.
Hmm. I really like both but I feel like Metroid has been consistently better.
The last 3 Zeldas, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and Skyward Sword have left me feeling not so great about the series. But when I think about games like Oot, MM, WW... those games are incredible and I played them when I was younger so they have that nostalgia working for them. But my final choice would have to go to Metroid. The Prime series is incredible, Super Metroid too, the handhelds are a lot of fun. I can't think of one truly bad Metroid
Zelda for sure. Metroid has become really sparse with its entries, but I still love the gameplay of them. Â My issue is they tend to have worse value than Zelda... Even the longest Metroid game will maybe take ten hours tops to beat, and the only reason to return is to challenge yourself with speed running or limited upgrades or whatnot. Â Zelda tends to be much longer and have more things to do.

The highest overall rated Nintendo franchise is the Super Mario Bros. Franchise. It's hard for me to decide here because I consider them two different genres.

I feel the same way. I've always loved both series but only the Prime games have kept my attention as of late.
