MGSV The Phantom Pain and Roman Polanski's The Tenant

Hi gamers,

Have any of you seen the 1976 film The Tenant? What caught my attention was some of the similarities between the two. I know the game isn't out yet ( while I write this ) but from the rumours and from what we already know let me point out some things:

• The movie starts out with the protagonist visiting a patient in a hospital, finds her entirely in bandages and unable to talk. This is where the Phantom Pain starts....in a hospital with Ishmael with his face covered up in bandages.
• If the rumours are true, that we do not play with BIG BOSS but another character.....well that could fit what I am saying. In the movie the protagonist thinks his tenants (Kaz,Ocelot,etc...) are trying to subtly change him into the last tenant...so he starts to dress as the woman that lived there ( someone acting like BIG BOSS).
• He becomes hostile and paranoid (snapping at his friends, slapping a child in a park) and his mental state progressively deteriorates. ( Maybe why BIG BOSS kills his own men as we see in the MGSV trailer ).
• The protagonist in the movie tries to kill himself throwing himself out of a window and fails dressed up as the tenant before him. He ends up bandaged up as the previous tenant in the same hospital bed....(Ishmael). From the bed he sees his own visit when he visited the woman in the very beggining of the movie.

I might be totally off here....but how the protagonist in the movie loses his mind ( like BIG BOSS )....how there are references to a double...or second protagonist ( like the rumours in MGSV )....how this is a psychological horror film...Kojima did say MGSV will feel that way at times.....and last but not least, he mentioned the movie in his twitter not too long ago, Coincidence? maybe...but being Kojima you never know.

kojima is a big film buff, so it could be possible there was inspiration drawn from the film
