The most overrated games I've seen are:
World of Warcraft and almost all other MMO's - How on Earth is running around in circles doing the same thing hundreds of times in a row fun? I still can't figure out why I played World of Warcraft for so long. That game is probably the worst of the bunch because it attracts alot of people who don't have the time to devote to the game but want to be apart of the popular crowd. Since they don't have the time and don't want to be left behind they pay for the gold farmer services. All this does is attract more gold farmers and power levelers which works to ruin the game for everyone else.
Halo - An inovative game that devolved into the standard shooter.
Anything with Mario - How is Mario still popular? Isn't he in about 10,000 games by now?
I don't undestand Halo being overated when everyone allways says it is. If people can't see its qualityies then thats their problem. For example, I didn't get into Metroid but I don't say its oevrated because I can see why people like it so much.hair001This is my exact feeling on the matter. Though, I will say that I never understood the interest in Smash bros., any JRPG (man I hate those things) But I guess the stories and art are good. Really though, I thought NG was overrated. It just seems like a drawn out fighting game.
