Since your first days of gaming which single player game off the top of your head do you recall replaying most? For me it was Super Metroid I've beat it about 5 times. It's just so great when you can pick up a game 10 years later and still say "Damn, this game is great."
Super Smash Brothers for the N64. I've beaten it 62 times. I've gotten the Speed King award (in game award for beating the game in less than 20 minutes) about 31 times.
I know I passed Zelda MM and Zleda OoT a fair few times back in the day, But of most recent memory it has to be BiA: RtH30 and BiA: EiB atleast 3 times each now.
GTA Vice City and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty probably have beaten around 20-25 on each. Also in somewhat similar range with MGS3 and I think ive beaten San Andreas around 9 - 15 times. :P
I don't really beat games more than once, but I do replay for fun. I tend to stop on the middle of the 2nd run. It's usually goodbye to the game after beating it.
Out of relatively recent games the only ones I remember playing more than once are both of the Pikmin games, Metroid Prime, RE4.
If old games count then I beat Super Mario Bros numerous time (I can beat it in a few minutes using both the warp pipes but i enjoyed playing all 8 worlds), also wonder boy in monster land, shinobi, double dragon, street fighter II and many others
Super Mario Land takes the throne with I-really-don't-know-how-many playthroughs, but definatly more than 30, followed by Sonic the Hedgehog (likewise), followed by... Metal Gear Solid 2 (10 times) ? Half-Life is a runner-up, too.
FOr short games probably Super Mario Brothers. For longer games I've finished MGS close to 50 times. I used to be obsessed with that game and could finish it if I had 2 1/2 hours to kill.
I've beaten The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess somewhere around ten times,with a fair chunk of those being speed runs or practice for speed runs.Also,I've beaten Super Mario 64 about eighteen times,and yes,most of those were speed runs.
Start to finish? I think Castlevania: DoS. I beat it on normal, hard, Julius mode and Julius mode at the lowest level I could. (14) That and an RPG Maker game called Alter A.I.L.A. cuz I wanted the real ending. (you have to beat the three paths before getting the true one.)
hrm.......I beat Kingdom Hearts twice (I think?). I can't remember why though. I think KH is the only game I've played trough all the way more than once, though I do like to keep m games just in case I ever want to pull them out again.
I havn't beat all my games, and I rarely replay them. :( But if it counts ( which I'm sure it doesn't ) I beat Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper with most characters, Smash Bros Melee and Brawl with all characters, and I've gone through Aegis Wings and Resident Evil a bunch of times.
