Somebody might've posted this topic before. I dont remember but its a good one to ask. This can be any puzzle, boss battle, online match. anything memorable, All right I'll start with one of mine.

At first I was going to put the day when I finally beat FF8. But I'll start with a random online match in Tekken 6. 2011 november ish. Chose Baek Doo San and was getting crushed, slammed twisted and suplexed for two rounds straight by a fairly good King player. I couldn't believe I wormed my way out of his grapples and won from flamingo switch ups in the last third. Couldn't help cracking up. at least to myself.

Any deep memorable challenges or funny moments from ya'll?

One night my bro and I were playing co-op on borderlands, both drunk off our a**. We got to a boss fight (can't remember which it was, but it was one of the higher level ones). We were on our fourth or fifth go, and decided we'd call it quits after this last one since we didn't want to deal with the respawns. After a lot of careful planning, organizing, and strategizing, we managed to milk the boss down to his last little bit of health, and we were in good condition, even though we were heavily outmatched. We began to celebrate early, getting all excited. "We got this! Awwww hell yeah, he's goin down! Fist bump!" We took one hand off of our controllers for a split second to bump fists... BOOM! Big a** explosion came out of nowhere in that split second our characters stopped moving, putting us on the ground. We were furious, screaming and swearing and both frantically trying to get our second wind. My bro died leaving me left alone with a hair of the boss's health left, almost completely bled out, wielding my just-good-enough assault rifle to finish the job. The screen faded completely black. And right when it did, "second wind!" We both jumped up and went hysterical. Good times..

It was a racing sim (PGR or Forza i think). Was on the finishing strech, and the CPU behind me did a pit maneuver on me. ended up making himself go off the track. So now my car is facing the wrong way, and the CPU in third ended up smashing me to the thru finish line. I came in first.

It was probably a drunk Halo 3 match, thus I can't remember it.

Probably something Halo for me too. There was the time in BF3 I accidentally killed 3 opposing players landing in a helicopter- it landed on some landmines I placed. The odds were tiny.

Niiiice!

I just remembered one. I can't believe I forgot this! Was playing the 1st Marvel vs. Capcom on  final burn alpha emulator on my laptop during lunch break at work a few yrs ago. I was playing as Wolverine and Jin Saotome from Cyberbots. Cpu also chose Jin, and we went down to the wire where Jin starts to highlight when his health is low. Cpu kept blocking and also lit up, so were trailing light tossing out Supers and blocking each others hits for half a minute.

A friend of mine who was very religious couldn't help but sit next door, and comment "maaan! They look like two demons fighting each other! "

So here I am navigating a tense round, while unwittingly juggling some semi-serious religious conversation, about symbolism and cartoon depiction while hopping about and trying to jockey for an advantage.

I narrowly pulled it out by using Jins Blodia Arm sucker punch, but I didn't get to savor the victory as much as I would have wanted as other older employees started chiming in.

I got a game winning kill cam in MW3 with a grenade impact kill that hit a guy in the nuts. Nearly got the game winning kill cam when I unlocked the 'Misery Loves Company' challenge, where you kill someone by cooking a grenade until it explodes, but was out by one kill. :(

Counter Strike. There was only one guy in the other team. I was holding a grenade when he came out out of nowhere. My instinct was to drop the grenade. I killed myself and the other guy. Round over, our team won.

So many in Halo. When i got 46 kills out of 100 in a 8v8 match (my spartan must have been on PCP or something, i couldnt die), when i lasered a guy so much he left the game. when i got lost a match to a guy named Hamburgers Brother, i was laughing so hard at that guys name i couldnt even be mad. and finally when my entire team went after a guy just because his gamer tag was so terrible. we all literally by-passed other players just to find and kill this guy. he caught on that we were after him and started to hide in random spots. of course with four people looking for him, he was found, killed and T-baged beyond belief. poor guy had to quit to escape our punishment.

The moment I finally cleared the water level in TMNT. The most glorious feeling in the world. Couldn't tell you what comes after that, but I damn sure remember that gauntlet.

Becoming double champion in Pro Wrestling. Those belts took me far too long to earn.

Finishing ALttP.

I was racing online in GTA IV once and I was coming second. Just before the finish line, there was a bump, and I hit it harder and faster than the guy in front of me, and I won the race by skidding over the top of his car.

He was pissed.

I wasn't sure what to post until I saw this response. I've had some cool comebacks in BF3 and Halo but couldn't think of anything really good. Then I remembered a Deathmatch FFA game I had in AC: Brotherhood where I got that 'in the zone' feeling and everything fell in place for a match. The average score for a round is like 3000 and I scored 7500 something points. Never broke 7000 again and I've never seen someone with a higher one round total.

A friend of mine who was pretty damn good at Fight Night Round 3 kept nagging me to play him. He was certain he would win and I hadn't play the game in ages.

Eventually I decided to fight him, expecting to be defeated fairly quickly. I ended up beating the crap out of him and knocked him out in the 4th round. Good times.

I also raced him on GTA and he was cornering much better than me. He began getting cocky but on the final turn of the final lap he somehow managed to roll his car. I laughed like a bitch and won the race

Only one I remember, it was around the time that pokemon black and white 2 came out. One of my friends just go it. I had white 1 and he wanted to battle me. Most of his pokemon were around level 15-25. I told him I could pretty much match him level for level and for the most part, I did. It just so happens that my sixth slot was filled by my level 58 charizard.

we get down to my last pokemon and he has 3 remaining, he is feeling pretty good until he sees what I have left. suffice it to say, things did not end well for him.

Wow. That reminds me of another one: 11/20/08- two days after launch I was playing my first round of VS mode. No Mercy 1, just after the alarmed car, just before the safe room, I'm playing as a hunter. I caught the rear survivor on the stairs, still covered up so that they couldn't shoot me from the slit in the safe room door. Clawed him to death just as the second-to-last survivor left the safe room to rescue his pal. Caught him in exactly the same spot- scored Double Jump and Lamb 2 Slaughter at the same time. The third guy was smart enough to let his pal rot- so they made it, but with a 1x multiplier rather than a 3x.

I know, right? That was the only game I ever played that I never stressed about losing. I'd go whole matches never scoring a single kill sometimes because I always wanted my kills to be perfect. This match looked like it was going to be the same story- I was 0-7, only a couple of minutes left on the clock. Suddenly my target enters the same moving blend group I'm in- slow poison. He keels over, my next target goes charging right past my group- or would have if I hadn't popped out and slain him. I notice an obvious pursuer a little later and played a favorite trick of mine- slip around a corner and instead of bolting, wait right there- when he comes running to make upsome distance, break around the corner toward him and punch 'em in the face! My last hit was trickier- my target was playing it cool in a stationary group. I don't remember how I spotted him- I think he twitched or something- but I made him out and did my best 'NPC walk' right up next to him. It's a risky trick because you've got to do it so well that you can get within kill range but stay out of stun range so's not to give yourself away with a big red stun prompt. Incog hidden focus agony 3x Silent killstreak and he never knew who'd killed him. I was under about a metric ton of pressure on that last one, too- 2 pursuers on me, less than 20 seconds on the clock and I was performing the single most risky kill I knew of. Do you have any idea how hard it is to focus-poison someone in a stationary group?

Skyrim - I had the game for a couple of days, and was battling a Mage with a sword. The Mage was owning me, having 3/4 of her health left, and I had a sliver of health left. All of the sudden, the kill cam animation started. I was like "f***" and got ready for my character to die, but instead my character stabbed the Mage in the chest (The kill animation was apparently caused by me). That was the luckiest kill ever. Kill cams in Skyrim are pretty loopy and random.

A long-ass time ago playing a FFA match on Halo 3 online. I was being chased by some dude up a ramp and I was trying to get the f*ck outta dodge because my shields were already down. When I got up the ramp I found another guy eager to wreck my shit. I already had the first one up my butt so I did the only thing I used to do playing Halo online when in a tight spot: jump like an idiot. Somehow that worked because while I was midair both dudes killed each other off and I landed on top of both corpses.

Then I blew myself with a poorly thrown grenade.

Also, today. Killzone Mercs. It was 2-on-3 in matchmaking before my teammate dropped out making it 1-on-3. A few triple kills, counter melees, and well-cooked grenades later, I won the round 17-3. It was so fun I actually was a little sad I got some teammates to join mid-match.

I had a pretty good one back in February in an online match of Skulls of the Shogun. It's one of my first online matches and I was getting obliterated, I could never get a good push on his units and he just kept destroying me up until I had nothing but my General unit and an Archer unit. Well, Skulls of the Shogun has this knock back mechanic where if you score a critical, or have certain units, you knock back the unit a small distance, and this can be used to great effect near cliffs and open chasms as you can knock them off and kills them instantly. Anyways, I knew I was going to lose since he had all his units and I had but two so I rushed my General unit towards his army so he could finish me off. In a stoke of luck, and utter stupidity on my opponents part, he sends his fully ranked General to meet mine on a bridge in the middle of the map on a bridge just close enough that I positioned my General to knock his General back into the river, killing him. Killing and opponents General unit is an instant win. The rage/hate mail I received afterwards was priceless.

Me and 3 friends of mine won an entire Big Team Slayer Battle in Halo 3 (I think it was Halo 3, I know it was one of the Halo games) against a full team by funneling our opponents into a cave area on one of the maps.

It was fairly unbelievable, but of course this is partially because the other team didn't have the greatest approach to fighting a small group of players.
