For me, it would be Gauntlet Legends on the N64. It was (and still is) one of my favorite N64 games of all time. The multiplayer is great.

Grandia, its just as good as any of the FF games for the PS1, yet it probably sold a tenth of what they did
Panzer Dragoon Saga is also an incredible game that didnt sell (due to the time of release)
This and everything on the SaturnI keep hearing about how good BlastCorps was on the N64. I never played it though. hmm.

my pick would be Jet Force Gemini for the N64. It was not a very good seller but he multi player was so great.
Spider: The Video Game for the PS1. I thought it was really fun and a great idea for a game. You play a mechanical spider in a big, big world. You can shoot enemies with rocket launchers and all sorts of other cool things. Definitely worth checking out.
Paper Mario. It was well received by critics, but hardly anyone bought and played it.comeonthehoopsIt sold over a million copies.

mariokart97
That would be my pick too, along with Operation Winback for N64. I'd throw in the Crash Bandicoot games for PS1 too. They weren't under appriciated back then, but they are now since the PS2 games ran Crash into the ground.
A good friend of mine told me much about Panzer Dragoon and had nothing but praise for it's originality.Grandia, its just as good as any of the FF games for the PS1, yet it probably sold a tenth of what they did

A good friend of mine told me much about Panzer Dragoon and had nothing but praise for it's originality. your friend speaks the truth, its a great game, Panzer Saga has one of the most original battle system in any RPG and also a story that despie being short, is better then the vast majority of video game stories of any genreTrue, but is Panzer Dragoon Saga really under appriciated? It's just so rare that most people have not had a chance to play it. In any sense, I do appriciate it, but I wouldn't pay the normal going price for it either. I can see that being at least cut in half in years to come due to the shrinking number of Saturns out there and/or a virtual release.billyd5301youre right about the price, I actually got it for a bargain, no game should cost so much money

No way I clicked on this thread thinking guantlet legends..gauntlet legends.. it was so awesome with co-oplucarocks1Gauntlet dark legacy is even better. My pick has to be Suikoden II, it is hands down the best PS1 RPG and its story is amazing.
I think a really underappreciated game for the ps1 is a fun fps game called disruptor. all the graphics and controls are nailed so nothing gets in the way of action. my favorite part is how it seamlessly blends crazy action with tactics and resource management- if you don't use weapons wisely and utilize your psionic powers you'll quickly find yourself fending off enemies with a stick as they eat away your health. check it out:)

I have to agree about Grandia.. That's still one of my favorite games.. love the whole series..:)Def WWF No Mercy N64, it is still the best wrestling game made to date without question. big roster, best gameplay by far, lots of options, great CAW, story lines for titles. i still play it its awesome and no wrestling game will top it ever, unless they make a new game with the same game engine.
and Wild 9 PS1, sweet game and fun as hell to play
I would have to say that an underappreciated game from that generation would be pretty much anything on Saturn!! Seriously though, I have a wicked Saturn collection, and one of my faves that I never hear anyone talking about is called Dragonforce. Its the most unique game I ever saw. Its a mixture of RPG/RTS/2d beat em up and god knows what else. Basically you have the map of Legendra, and you choose a country/faction, and you have generals that control armies of men, up to 100. Each general can be dispatched from your casle to nearby castles, the generals have to follow laid out routes across the high altitude map of the continent and when they get to the castle they have to try and conquer it. then what ensues is a 2d battle between each general, 1 on 1, but they also have their up to 100 soldiers to fight for them, the battle usually ends in a duel if both warriors soldiers are killed and then its all down to the power of the general. And the most fantastic part of the game was that you could capture, and convert generals and then upgrade them and make them work for you. Finding items for your generals, changing the type of soldier each used, it was awesome for its day. Unfortunately I could never complete the game!! Anyone else heard of this game?

Die Hard Arcade for Saturn Ghost in the Shell for PlaystationDeafNYCPlayer
GOOOOD shout!! Ghost in the Shell was soo wicked, I used to love climbing on the buildings and flying around in that little red rig thing, how awesome was that game!!!
Panzer Dragoon Saga is my fave RPG still, today, I completed it about 3 times over my life from its release and it is more amazing everytime. My only gripe is that Saturn games look awful on my LG 1080p 22" monitor/tv, the resolution is too high!! I need to dig out an old CRT tv to play them on again lol

I'd have to say Pong for the PlayStation. Pong: the next level, was simply an amazingly fun game. It's probably one of my favourite games on the ps1 and I'm guessing pretty much nobody on here has ever played it. It's pretty much pong with powerups and cool level designs.
