Shenmue 2 , Headhunter , F355 Challenge , Code Veronica, DOA2 , all come to mind , at least in the 3D department
Yeah. I'm playing Headhunter right now. Great looking game. It almost feels unfinished though.Shenmue 2 , Headhunter , F355 Challenge , Code Veronica, DOA2 , all come to mind , at least in the 3D department

It makes me think of what really coulda been possible on the mighty Dreamcast. If they could've made headhunter a bit more reactive to the environment, like entering buildings, shopping, etc., it probably would've been a AAA title.Shenmue 2 , Headhunter , F355 Challenge , Code Veronica, DOA2 , all come to mind , at least in the 3D department

It may not be the most visually impressive Dreamcast game, but the first time I played Sonic Adventure was on a 50" TV. . . wow, I was totally blown away!!!

Yeah, that part where you're running on the docks and the killer whale is crashing everything behind you I remember being very cool looking.
Test Drive Le Mans
Metropolis Street Racer
Shenmue
Jet Grind Radio
Soulcalibur
Dead or Alive 2
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Rayman 2
Sonic Adventure 1 and 2
All of these games wowed me when first saw them in VGA.
Soul Calibur and Shenmue looked crazy good back in 1999/2000 imo.
Le Mans and Quake 3 looked very well too.
In terms of 3D, I'm still unsure. In terms of 2D: Sturmwind. My jaw dropped when I first played the beta version.
Is that game out yet? I was following it but I never heard anything else about it. Any word?In terms of 3D, I'm still unsure. In terms of 2D: Sturmwind. My jaw dropped when I first played the beta version.

Unfortunately, it is still not out, and I do not know when it will be released or why it is still not published. The last version a received as a beta tester I'd call ready for release.
I haven't heard from the developers in months.

When I first heard about it, which was at least a year ago, i began following it, and other than a few updates here or there, it seems to have vanished. I thought it was a great effort, or fan justice, that they would still release a game on the dreamcast, even though it isn't in production anymore. I'm sure it would still sell, as there are tons of users who still play their Dreamcast. Hopefully it will finally get released. I'll be one of the first adopters for sure.Is that game out yet? shenmue looked so good back in 1999, that during tokyo game show people and journalists were looking under tables to see what actual machien ran that game. biggest revolution in graphics I've ever seen.
