Well I feel like some retro portable gaming, and realised that when I had my GBA I never actually bought anything good for it, so I thought I'd rebuy one and when I saw how cheap they are now I was pretty happy. I should have enough money for 3 or 4 games initially, so what should I get? I was looking at one of the Pokemon games (only ever had Yellow, what's the best one IYO?), a Mario sidescroller, and then one of the Metroids, or Mario Kart or F Zero. (which of those are good as well please). Finally just generally recommend any games you think are must buys for it.

i personally love pokemon red version of pokemon. im not a fan of anything past gold/s becuase they seem very uninspired. but metroid fusion is also imo the best of the gba series. Also gunstar superheros and astroboy. and the final fantasy games are great too. oh and i gotat throw in my favs advanced wars and fire emblem

If your only getting only one pokemon, get emerald. It is like ruby and saphire. If you liked yellow, they made 2 gba versions called fire red and leaf green. If you already own a system that you can play the Mario Platformers on, or have a Wii w/ virtual console, I would just get them on it. I haven't played Mario Kart or F Zero on the GBA. Here are ones I reccomend.

Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga

Pokemon Emerald

Sonic Advance series

Golden Sun series

Legend of Zelda Minish Cap

Tactics Ogre.

I really don't find Golden Sun very special, but hey, most people like it.

Ok I've decided on, Wario Land 3, Pokemon Emerald, Mario World Advanced 12 (or whatever the hell the remake of Mario World is called), and Super Mario Kart Advance Circuit Thing. (Why does every GBA game have some sort of subtitle) Now I'm stuck, I want a Zelda game (forgot about Zelda before) but don't know which, I never played the Snes Link to the Past, so basically which is better A Link to the Past or Minish Cap? (Because I presume the reason most people didn't say that was because it's a remake)

They are both excellent, but I would go with Minish Cap. I also reccomend Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga and the Sonic Advance series.

Well, taken form a person who has "finished" both of those games, you are honestly not at a loss if you pick either of them. They are both solid Zelda games (in fact, nearly all of them are). However, my favorite Zelda game ever is A Link to the Past. Coupled with the fact that Minish Cap seemed too short to me, I am ultimately suggesting that you buy A Link to the Past.

Mario Kart Super Circuit

Konami Krazy Racers (kart game as well)

Golden Sun I & II

Bomberman Tournament (it's Bomberman with Pokemon elements)

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (the best of all 2d Mario platformers IMO)

Final Fantasy games

Sonic Advance 3 (waaaay better than the first 2)

Advance Wars 2

Mario & Luigi Super Star Saga

Astro Boy (takes a while to get into, but very fun)

Golden Sun and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. They'll more than satisfy your rpg and platforming needs. Plus, you can take monsters souls and get some awesome new powers out of them in Castlevania: AoS.

Megaman Battle Network 3 and 6 were the best imo.

Oh try to find Super Mario Deluxe found it for 5 bucks. And I have put like 20 hours into it.

Megaman & Bass is a must-have imo.

If you can get both Golden Suns, that's good too.
