[QUOTE="dakan45"]seriously, when have you ever seen diffirent animations of the same thing in a sequel?koospetoors
Really? compare the animations in the two Witcher games and come back to me. Same with pretty much any other proper sequel out there.Witcher 2 doesnt EVEN use the same engine. Let alone the fighting mechanics are completly re-done. Also witcher came out in 2007 and the sequel in 2011, thats alot of time to bother with re building from scratch. Cod demand simply does not have that luxury. Besides what cod does has been done in the past with tomb raider and stalker series.
Thinking about it, what about "proper sequels? i already pointed out the stalker series, now there is Fallout new vegas and bioshock 2, hell even uncharted and dead space 2 are pretty close.
Its easier to improve in a templete and call it a sequel rather develop a new one from scratch. Even bc2 did it that so many people praise for not beeing "recycled" like cod but IT IS!!
For the record is better that way so sequels like deus ex invisible war, doom 3, blood 2 and such can be avoided. (You know that they do radical changes to them that they changed so much and the fans of the first ones no longer like them)
Its also funny how those are all pc games and old ones, yet everyone blames consoles for that.
Finally doom 2 was a recycled doom 1 if you think about it. or fallout 1 and fallout 2.
So in conclusion what cod does is RIGHT because it has done in the past, it is happening with other games, it has been done in pc titles and it STILL happens and in the end it stays true to its fanbase and make sure they wont radically change the game into something else.
I believe my post is simply awesome 8)
