Don't worry: I think a lot of parents have the nagging fear that video games are harmful to their children, and are somehow corrupting them. My Dad certainly does, even though he used to enjoy a game of Age of Empires himself at one point. I think it's just a case of trying to educate them that they aren't all bad, and that they aren't taking over your life.

My parent think that because i like playing 3-4 hours im a huge nerd. They think i should stop playing video games, and they hate me for it.

But i have a passion to video games. It's a actually a small part, of my life. I think that i will never stop playing them either.

What should i do? :(

Really depends on how long this has been going on for. If this is a new thing with your parents disliking your video game play, just ignore their complaints, and it will likely end up that they get used to it, or something along those lines. If you have an older relative who is a gamer, that will help your case a ton, because you can call them in for backup. When my dad started getting in my case about games, my uncle, (who is a gamer as well), stepped in, and I really didn't hear anything from him after that. It may also be because he didn't buy video games for me soon after, (My Mom did), and lastly the fact that I am a PC gamer first and foremost, letting me play more discreetly rather than playing something that used the TV (Which my Dad would kick me off if I was playing on one of my consoles).

Too much video games is a bad thing. Liking video games too much makes you a shut in. Don't a be a social recluse because of video games.AL_GREEN
No such thing as too much videogames. A person should just complete his/her responsibilities before you get playin'. After that, who the hell cares? Play all u want!!

This. Although games have completely taken over my life, that's ok with my parents as I'm planning to make a career out of it. Why would I want to do anything else in my whole life?
