til today. ive played alot of em, but they never really hooked me enough to play em all the way thru. the oldestĀ  games (not including old computer games) i play on a semi-regular basis and beat are on the snes. but nes games were a lil too old for my taste.

but i saw a review for "sweet home" and i got a lil intrigued, then i played it and was quickly hooked, played it mostly none stop and just beat it.

whats the oldest game/console you can enjoy, whats the oldest game you most recently beat for the first time, and like the topics says, whats ur oldest fav game?

Play Ninja Gaiden. You'll be surprised by the phenomenal storytelling. It has the complete package of audio, visual, story, and gameplay.

The last NES games I beat were Megaman 1 & 2. One of my favorite NES games is Ninja Gaiden. Ninja Gaidens 1-3 are great, very challenging though.

The last NES game I beat was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 with the help of Game Genie. But the first NES game I beat & my favorite is Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers 1, & no Game Genie help.

Oldest console I can enjoy is the NES. A fAV old game is hard for me to choose.

Space Invaders (Arcade, 1978)

It's 35 years old now, yet I can still enjoy it to this day.

I grew up playing Intellivision games first, soĀ  I can always go back to that console. That, and I also feel simple 2D games tend to age very well. My oldest favorite game for it is Auto Racing (1979), and my overall favorite game for it is Snafu (1981).

My oldest favourite games would have to be the first ones I ever got when I was 5 years old - Mario Bros 1 2 and 3, still great games, butI don't think I have ever beat any NES game.

It looks like I win so far... No one else has a favourite older than Space Invaders!

The only way I can possibly lose is if someone mentions Pong...

You never beat Mario 1,2, or 3? I first beat them on the gameboy remakes and eventually played the originals and beat those too...

I beat the first 2 Original Gameboy Mario games, but I never knew there were remakes of the NES marios on the Gameboy. Idk I just could never beat them, I got well into all three but never managed to finish any.

yea back in those days the big question was "did you beat it?" "have you beat it yet?"

now it's "how many hours have you logged in?" lol

since modern games are so easy to beat.

Back in those days, video games were often seen as sports. Nowadays, video games are often seen as movies.

The last game I beat was River City Ransom. Tried working on Batman, but if you die at the Joker you can just forget it.

Ā

There are remakes of 2 & 3 on Game Boy Advance. There is also a remake of the first one on Game Boy Color. They are all a little different in that they allow you to save your game, which I think is easier but does dilute the difficulty a bit.

Oh yeah well being able to save would definitely make them easier; I think that was a big part of why I never finished any of them, I would get tired and my concentration would start to go, especially since I was only 5 - 7 years old :D

My oldest favorite games are probably Pong, Circus Atari and Kaboom.
