Just want to know what people would prefer between Vice City and San Andreas remodeled. I preferably like the LA gangs and things like that so I would pick San Andreas

Neither, id rather have the next GTA take place in another country or multiple areas as in places like japan and london etc. since they have some good possibilities for a story about the criminal underworld.

Same here. I want to see a GTA game that takes place in somewhere in the UK or Japan too, rather than another one which takes place in Vice City or San Andreas.
Well if it was up to me I would have the next GTA set in an alternate universe in mid 19th century England where everything is totally steampunk, but I doubt that will ever happen
Out of SA and Vice City I guess I would have to go with Vice City, seeing as they would probably do SA afterwards and given how big SA was, it would feel like a downgrade going from SA to Vice City.
The 70's is probably the farthest back that GTA will ever go since who is going to want to really drive around in Model T's or super heavy cars all the time lol. I wouldnt really care for the 70's but atleast there were lots of great muscle cars and without cool cars it wouldnt be a GTA game.Kurushio
Mafia 1 and 2. Mafia 1 was amazing.
If they were to go back, I'd say Vice City, no question. One, I'd rather look at bright colors on a television, than dust. And two, Ray Liotta, while getting old, can still pull off a bada$$ in game form. Personally, I think they need to either stop making gtas, or restructure the game mechanics.
Also, tokyo is a great setting, as mentioned by others.
I dont see London really just because The Getaway kinda owns that area (though i never liked it).Kurushio
Grand Theft Auto did London before The Getaway did.
Anyway, I'd prefer an all-new location (London-Paris-Amsterdam would be awesome, I think), but between Vice City and San Andreas, easily Vice City. I doubt they would do San Andreas anyway, probably just Los Santos.
Lets be serious here people there is no way that rockstar north could possibly release another GTA anytime soon. They already have the Agent and LA Noire to get some income in for the next GTA IV - [Enter City Pun Here] Gmaes like chinatown wars is another example of cashing in to make some more cash to explode into the next gta episode and remember they have RAGE near perfection atm so it wont be so costly to make another game.
As for the loction by 2012-2013 next GTA release date. I think it will be less obvious tha Vice City San andreas. I loved VC. But I think London - they should do leith lol And Edinburgh- where they are based if they did my hosue would be in the game and tbh my area would be where CJ lives. But it wont be in the past LA Noire and Agent are both in the past. Also wont be LA >LA Noire. It wont be NYC or Miami / California.Nor will it be Tokyo or asia/ middle east. I think Seattle, London, Chicago, or Canada. I dont think Europe because there isnt much euro influence on GTA its english based on American and British things. Each game has a lot of suprises for us Scots look at LEaf Links there is a real golf course near R*N HQ Called Leith Links.
What I mean by this is that the next GTA will be based around Crime History and Mod citys maybe Vegas but I think the places I said already. The Mod was huge in London but only in the past today not so much and yes the getaway. I think LA is a possibility if based in modern times but unlikely I really expect Chicago or Seattle.
If they do Tokyo or something I hope they continue getting creative renaming it & remodeling it. Liberty City is based on New York City. Vice City is based on Miami. San Andreas is based on San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. The only time they ever used a real city was London and I didn't like it at the time and still don't - its kind of abandoning the GTA universe.
As a somewhat latecomer to the party, Vice City was my first introduction to the GTA world so I've got a fondness for it. I'd give anything to return to Vice City in HD, to see Tommy Vercetti as some sort of mob boss. The hype for GTA IV didn't get me excited at all, but this would.
I hate to disappoint you but GTA 5 will be in the city its supposed to be in, NYC. Now that doesn't mean that the next GTA will be GTA 5. If the next GTA isn't GTA 5 then Japan would be a nice change of paceDiablo-B
we were just in their version of NYC, and that is the most overused location in all of entertainment.
I think hearin enuff of Niko's voice put Europe off the map, plus the US is more multi cultural. I think the next story shud be a mexican gang in South Central or wateva they named it in SANeither... it's pointless to keep going in circles. America is growing tired in the GTA series, it's feeling less inspired. I'd rather see Paris, Tokyo, or Dubai.

I'd actually kindof dig the idea of a new (remastered) Vice City, and then a new San Andreas for the next one. But after those they should probably bring a new city.
Either way, I'm happy as long as they just improve what's needed from IV
Is this just a theory, or is this actually their plan?
Anyway, I hated San Andreas, moreso as a game I guess because I found a lot of the side stuff annoying (if I heard one more time about the "yay leaving san fiero" I thought I was going to go literally insane. Granted, considering I went to school out west, it was partly kind of cool to wreak havoc in parts of my old stomping grounds.
However, Vice City beats San Andreas to a bloody pulp in terms of awesome. I dunno, tearing it up in 80's era Miami while playing Flock of Seagulls just trumps any kind of thug life nonsense that San Andreas threw at you. In other words, a homage to Scarface is much cooler than a homage to the type of things that came about by imitating Scarface.
So, yes, I vote Vice City, easily.
Yakuza 3 has Tokyo Covered, and True Crime 3 has Hong Kong covered. Im waiting for those titles to show their potential, how open-world games can work in other countries apart from the US. If they both become a success, maybe more games will jump out of that America only zone and create more open-world games in other countries
