I know its a little early to make a wishlist but I figure it can't hurt. Some things I would like to see in NHL 10 is:

EASHL

- More stat tracking

- More customizable teams

- Customizable arenas

- Stricter rules for cheaters/glitchers

I pretty much only played EASHL in NHL 2009 so thats all I want to improve.

I hope ea adds the hartford whalers jersey the anahiem mighty ducks jersey and the the mid 90s buffalo sabres jersey. I think those would be awesome.Also i would like to see them add bodychecks where u can hit a player over and into a teams bench where in 09 when you hit someone into a teams bench there bodys just bend over the bords where it looks like that player is ready to take it from behind i meen honestly its stupid so in nhl 10 i hope they make it so u can actually hit somebody over the bords and into a teams bench.And they should really do something about the goalies i meen when u play as the goalie and your hugging the post and someone on the other team does a cross crease pass your goalie gets stuck to the post so i hope they fix that to because when i play as the goaltender on otp or club im getting sick of getting stuck to the post and having a chance to stop a cross crease pass instead of being able to come off the post after the shot is takin.Oh and one other thing about the goalies when im playing as the goalie or someone else is or the computer when you make a desparation save or the computer makes a desparation save after they make a desparation save and theres a rebound and the other team ends up getting the puck the goalie should have a chance on making another save instead of after a desparation save your watching yourself get up or the computer getting up by that time the other team easily scores while your watching your self getting up from making a desparation save and not being able to make a save after u make a desparation save so u have a chance of keeping the puck out of the net instead of watching your self getting up after making a desp save and the other team easily scoring a goal while there is that little delay of watching your goalie getting up after he makes a desp save where then he goes into the butterfly position after the puck is in the net so i think they need to fix that and let a user or the ai goalie to make a save after they make the splits desp save

I think for NHL10 they should advance the be a pro mode. I know it would be hard but i think it would be sweet. Now, The whole be a pro gameplay is a big step showing your guy coming out of the locker room and skating around the rink in warm ups and focusing on your guy only. It is very well done and I enjoy it alot, but I do want to recommend some other things. For one, before the game i think it should show your be a pro player in the locker room and you getting prepared and maybe you could get up and talk to other players, not with voice overs, just words you could read would be fine. And before the game your coach could come out and maybe just have on generic voiceover for him or just letters you could read, and he could say something or make a speech then you go out of the locker room and warm ups and then start playing. When you get called off I think you should be able to move your head to other players and especially the players on your line and you could talk about different strategies and what not. This would be good if you could do the same on the ice, talk to other players, start good or bad blood between you to. This would be a HUGE step for all the series and something that would completely blow other competition out of the water, and in years to come they could make it even more advanced, after the game you could walk out of the stadium drive home and other things.

I'd just hope they would get a new engine and change the gameplay for better. The current nhl's games play and feel likes those 10 years ago.

How about the ability to scout a team's situation before signing with them, influence the team's situation beyond your position on the depth chart (ie: request certain linemates from the coach, demand a trade from the GM, etc) in Be A Pro mode? Also, it'd be nice if all players, AI and human alike, were held to the same standards regarding the depth chart. On my current season, I'm the Sharks' leading scorer by far, and even then, if I go a single game without scoring a point, boom. Kicked to the second line even though Cheechoo's having a crap year. Things like that really detract from the experience..

Wow. I guess I totally missed those years when we had the skill stick, vision control, shot aim, and sensible scores (as opposed to 13-10 and the like) on the PlayStation and N64.
