[QUOTE="turtlethetaffer"]You bring up valid points, but the fact of the matter is that people can still think how they want. Nothing anyone says will change that.RandoIphF
Indeed. Future generations will look at older homophobic Americans who were perfectly willing to use the law to oppress homosexuals the exact same way we looked at many of our own grandparents and great grandparents here in this country who felt the same way about black people. It's just the way they are, and they can't nor will they ever understand why they are wrong. It simply has to be allowed to die out with them.

Exactly. I'm not saying it's right to be bigoted against gays or whatever. I am, however, saying that everyone can think how they want, so people have just as much right to be against gay marriage as much as people have toe right to be for gay marriage.  Again, I'm not taking a stand on either side, just throwing this out here.

People think differently.  Hell, there are still people who believe the moon landing was a hoax. I personally think that's full of BS but they can think that way if they want.

Also, this topic has gone waaaaaaay of track.

I'll chime in on the scientific thing. From what I understand, the most common conclusion is that genes can cause a person to sway more towards homosexuality (for example, when males get too much X chromosome but not enough to make them female), but at the same time it is not the only defining factor. Upbringing and society play a part as well.

Also, the "natural" argument. Let's set aside all the sociological and moral issues. From a purely biological position, it is hard to argue that homosexuality is perfectly normal. Biologically, it is an anomaly. One of the core definitions of life itself is reproduction. There is no life without the ability of reproduction. So unless nature is aiming to destroy itself, it's hard to consider it natural.

I don't mean to be that guy, but we are so far into off topic that this isn't really a game discussion anymore.
