If you're not playing the PC version, there's no quick way to cure it. The Long And Winding Road.

Ahahahhaha! Someone else feels my pain! Suckers!

You have a long hard road ahead of you. Just stick to the quest log like glue then try not to cry.

Go to the "Vile Lair" and use salts in the water. If you downloaded it of course.

This is so annoying. So your saying i need to download the vile lair? ive got it on 360, not PC. If i use the salts, will that cure it outright?

It's the easiest way to do it that I know of. You go there and carry 3 salts that you find in the lair then stand in the water. I haven't played in a while so my recollection may not be the most accurate, but it's something like that. Seems like it was a cheap download as well.

Vampirism isn't bad, you get alot stronger so it helps you with quests and to survive in the day just keep using restoration(minor healing) and you'll stay alive. Aslong as you dont quick travel during the day and you wait indoors, you can survive.(Also if you bite someone in their sleep you will become human for about 24 hours again).

The best way to cure it in any sense, regardless of version, is to load a previous save before you got it. If you don't have one, its time to start a new character. Vampirism in Oblivion is possibly the worst thing they could have included, and possibly in the worst manner (at one point, it was incurable due to quest bugs). It isn't worth the time or the effort to cure, nor is it interesting.

Talk to a priest in any Temple, that will initiate a pretty annoying, and sometimes buggy, quest. Once you end it you will have the cure, but if you contract vampirism again you will not be able to heal it.

That means he is probably almost half-way done with this quest.
