Hello

I kept trying to remember lately the name of that one android mobile game that I used to play years ago.

The gameplay is pretty much like Tunnel Rush 1/2. Only difference about this game is it had way catchier soundtrack, the tunnel would shapeshift from tunnel to flat to cylinder. There would also be this line where a voice would say "Warning" after crossing the line, then the name of the side effect would show up on screen for 3 seconds before its gonna take effect on you, and I'm pretty sure all obstacles were perfect cubes.
The graphics were also neon type, the colors would smoothly change like rainbow.
After crossing the line, and get the "Warning" screen, a white screen would flash on beat with the music.

This is how Tunnel Rush looks like:

Something tells me that game has been removed from google play store for a long time, but I think I can still find the apk file from other websites.

I just need to know what the name of that game was....

So this game you wake up after a dream of some over powered guy/god. Your in a simple hut in a village with just a bed. Played this 6-8 years ago on an android on playstore. The. You have lvls to kill different things and there are bosses too. Its a 2d game like mario, pretry old. And the main guy the one with the dream i think has spiky hair, idk fs. I think he gets random visons from this guy/god to improve his skills and to guide him to the guy/god himself. Please lmk if u lf more details and lmk if you have the name of the game. Thanks!

Hello everybody

I,ve been looking for a game for a long time but i cant remember its name, the problem that i also cant remember much details.

I didn't play this game since about 2009 so it could be made from 1996-2006,it's actually a 2D game and the graphic wasn't that good as i remember, it starts in a cave(not sure) and there was a small male who's looking for his gf probably, the major thing that i remember that the 1st boss was a damn Fridge!, and after u beat him he gives u a rockets weapon and then a door opened to let u enter a mushroom land.

sadly, that's all i remember i know its creepy but if any have any idea about these specs don't hesitate to tell!

Hey everyone,

I understand the frustration of not remembering the title of a game you enjoyed. It's happened to me more times than I can count. One thing that has helped me keep track of all my games is using LuluBox Mod APK. It’s not just a tool to enhance your gaming experience by unlocking premium features and skins, but it also helps organize your games in one place.

With LuluBox, you can easily manage your games and access them directly from the app, which makes it much easier to keep track of what you've been playing. Plus, if you’re like me and sometimes forget game titles, having them all organized in LuluBox can jog your memory.

You can check it out here: https://thelulubox.com/

Hope this helps, and good luck finding the game title you’re looking for!

Based on your description, the game you are remembering could possibly be "Heart of Darkness." It was released in 1998 and fits several elements you mentioned:

It's a 2D game.

It starts in a cave-like environment.

The protagonist is a young male named Andy who is looking for his dog, Whisky.

The first boss encounter involves a large creature (not exactly a fridge, but could be remembered that way) and after defeating it, you gain a weapon (rockets in your case).

The game features various surreal and fantasy environments, including a mushroom land.

"Heart of Darkness" was known for its distinctive art style and cinematic approach to storytelling. If this matches your memories, then this is likely the game you're thinking of!

I'm sorry, the descriptions you gave weren't that much helpful. But I think it could probably be Beat Saber.

Beat Racer is an Android mobile game with gameplay similar to Tunnel Rush, featuring neon graphics, shapeshifting tunnels, catchy music, and obstacles that are perfect cubes. It also includes elements like warnings before side effects take effect, which match your description. If you remember it having a unique soundtrack and neon visuals with changing rainbow colors, "Beat

Since there's quite a few old timers here, I figured I'd give it a shot.

Never played the game personally, but saw the footage for it a few years ago. Released some time in the late 90s. It had fixed camera angles and prerendered backgrounds, and a somewhat gothic style to its environments - the colour palette comprised mostly of grey and brown hues. The combat was purely melee based, as I recall it, and the youtuber who was reviewing it made a joke about the game beating out Dark Soul's 'Praise the Sun' meme by over a decade - ie. the game included some sort of altar to either a sun deity, or a derivation thereof. I've had a look at some lists of games with pre-rendered BGs, 90s horror and action games, but no luck. If anyone knows, would be glad to hear the name. Cheers!

It sounds like you're describing the classic survival horror game "Alone in the Dark," which was released in 1992. Here's how it matches your description:

Released in the late 90s: It was actually released in 1992, which is close to the late 90s.

Fixed camera angles and prerendered backgrounds: Yes, "Alone in the Dark" pioneered this style in survival horror games.

Gothic style environments: The game is set in a mansion filled with gothic-style rooms and environments.

Color palette of grey and brown hues: The graphics indeed featured a muted color palette typical of early 3D-rendered games.

Purely melee based combat: Combat in "Alone in the Dark" involved melee weapons as well as other survival horror elements.

Altar to a sun deity: There's a notable scene where a pentagram is involved, which might be the reference made by the YouTuber regarding the game's themes.

"Alone in the Dark" is often regarded as a precursor to the modern survival horror genre and influenced later games like "Resident Evil" and "Silent Hill." If this matches what you saw and heard, "Alone in the Dark" is likely the game you're thinking of!

Hello fellow game-enthusiasts,

Help me find this game: I am looking for a arcade-y, not open world or open map racing game with splitscreenfunction, NPC driven cars and I believe it even had a multiplayer. I really cant remember much of it except that I played it in my earliest school days on the school computer. The game had a few cars and maps that I remember: It was not 2D, it was 3D animated, there were multiple maps and cars, there were different difficulty modes including a mirrored mode which would just turn the map into a mirorred version. Cars had different stats for example acceleration, break, traction, speed. There was a full on yellow relatively small but I think second fastest car, the fastest car was a blue one with fire pattern on the hood. There was also a schoolbus, a Truck and a monstertruck. Those are the cars that I remember. From the maps I only remember two. There was one map that was kind of in an iceland setting with big green hills and wide fields of gras, and the other one was a typical tropical island setting.

@shadowsentiel: I forgot to mention that, just like tunnel rush, you tilt your device to strafe left and right, and you move forward, and everything about the game was black with neon outlines shifting in colors

I think the game is "NeonDrive" but I'm not sure. Is it the game you're looking for?

no

the game I don't know the name of does not include any cars or characters, I should've mentioned that too

its just a fps gameplay with you moving at high speed while you try avoiding cube obstacles

idk if I'm right about this, but the soundtrack was a bit of vaporwave

@shadowsentiel: Ah, thanks for the suggestion, but no that's not it. It definitely released after, I think at the tail end of the prerendered background phase. Alone in the Dark is too big as well, this game was niche and mostly forgotten.

I’ve already posted this on a different website, but I was hoping for help from multiple different people just in case.

[Android - (I'm not 100% sure but) ASUS Google Nexus 7][RPG Action Dungeon crawler][2007-2015]

**Platform(s):** Phone (I played on an android tablet specifically using the google play store) I'm not sure what other platforms it was on. It was possibly not on the apple app store.

**Genres:** RPG Action Dungeon Crawler (possibly roguelike)

**Estimated year of release:** I want to say between 2007 and 2015 since I'm pretty sure I was 8 or 9 years old (I'm 20 now) when I played this game on my tablet.

**Graphics/Art style:** It was a 2d pixel art style that looked slightly similar to voxels. Most of the colors used were dark due to the setting of the game being inside a dungeon most of the time.

**Notable Characters:** I can't really help with this category because every design I try to think of pops up for half a second and then disappears.

**Notable gameplay mechanics:** This game was a turn based RPG game if I remember correctly.

**Other Details:** You used different characters you collected to fight in the dungeon. The characters you were able to collect did not stop at humanoid beings. There were many things that were spirits, energy beings, etc. The art style is a normal 2d pixel art style, but I remember it having hints of a voxel style. Like I said, the colors in it were very dark most of the time. You never ran around in the dungeon itself. It was just an auto-scrolling dungeon that continued onto the next stage of the fight after you beat the previous monsters.

I'm not sure how helpful what I've given is, but it's the best I can do from the scraps of memories I have from playing the game. It is most likely that the game has been removed from the google play store because I booted up the tablet years ago and the game was deleted from the device along with it not being in the previously downloaded section on the play store. If nothing is found with the information I've given, you can stray away from some of the details I've given. Thank you for trying if nothing is found.

@Bobzfamily:

It sounds like you're describing the game "The Shaman's Path" or something similar, a text-based strategy game that centers around managing a tribe. In those types of games, the focus is often on decision-making, alliances, and resource management, rather than action-heavy gameplay. The "crude" artwork might have been an iconic part of its charm at the time. I believe it could also be "The Tribal Chief" or "Warrior's Path", both of which feature similar gameplay where you manage a tribe and make key decisions to guide its survival and growth.

These old-school, text-based games are often very nostalgic for those who played them, especially since they emphasized storytelling and strategy. Does any of this sound familiar? would you like to play a traffic rider here's you can download it https://tirafficridorgame.com/ this is latest version of the game.

Hey everyone! I totally get how frustrating it can be to search for a game you loved but can’t remember the name of. Here’s a quick recap of how to increase your chances of finding the right game:

  1. Be Specific with Details: The more information you can provide, the better. Any details like game mechanics, art style, or characters can make a huge difference.
  2. Timeframe: If you can remember what era the game came out in (e.g., 90s, early 2000s), that helps a lot. Also, think about what other games you were playing around that time.
  3. Platform: What system did you play the game on? PC, console, or was it a browser game? Identifying the platform can help narrow down the options.
  4. Unique Characteristics: Was the game 2D or 3D? Was it first or third person? Any unique story elements or memorable settings?

While searching for old games can be a lot of work, if you’re into something creative like editing photos, I’d recommend checking out Hypic, a fantastic photo editing app! It lets you transform your images with a variety of filters, effects, and tools. If you enjoy enhancing your pictures or experimenting with your photos like a pro, Hypic is worth a try! You can find out more about it at hypicmodapk.net.

Thanks for the great info! Your tips are really helpful, and I’ll definitely keep them in mind when I’m trying to track down old games. It’s always tough when you can only remember bits and pieces, and the title or exact details just slip away. I’ll definitely focus on the release time and the platform it was on, since that can really narrow down the search. The idea of looking for unique features like game style or mechanics is also a smart approach. Thanks again for the advice—it’s definitely going to make the search a lot easier!

Man, I love this thread — it’s a lifesaver for anyone stuck with that “I remember the gameplay but not the name” feeling. I actually found an old game I’d been searching for years thanks to this! Also, a little tip for those trying to describe the game visually — I used the https://pixelabapks.com/pixellab-plp-files-download/ on my PC to sketch out the UI and a rough map of what I remembered. Weirdly enough, that helped someone recognize the game way faster than just a text description. Worth a try if you're really stuck!
