I know the game will play itself. I know I will miss half of these setpieces because I will be looking in the other direction. I know I will hate the Oscar Mike gameplay just like I did with MW2 and MW1. I know the story will just plain piss me off....

But when something looks that epic, how can I not play it!

I'm not going to buy it this year. I'll just let my brother buy the game and play it whenever I'm at home. I only want to play the game because of the campaign. Don't care for online anymore.ExoticAnimal

From this year alone.... Crysis, Crysis 2, KZ3, Resistance 3, even Rage is pretty decent.

I was thinking about getting BF3 or MW3... i like both games but i prefer the style of Mw3 more and i think its more fun.

That being said, I am in agreement with S0lid that it does look epic. However, I just think it's going to be another typical war story that I probably won't personally be attached to, which is fine. The best story that I've enjoyed going through in a Call Of Duty game was in Black Ops...hopefully, they'll amp it up here.

I expected the twist myself, but I enjoyed how they built it up and kept you in suspense with the whole interrogation from beginning to end.

Sure it looks action packed but i bet those were the most notable moments in the campaign. Half of whcih is probably cutsecnes anyway. I seen the gameplay from E3 fighting throught the city streets & it looks really bland. The trailer makes it look better than it is.

All i can say is if you want to play it then rent it or borrow, beat the campaign & take it back. Dont spend your money on more trash when you kow there are more games this holiday worth your money. The campaign will probably only last 35 minutes anyways & the MP will be the same. I cant come up with any redeeming qualities for MW3. Im sorry.

I never expected not to buy it, the game looks fun. Even if the multiplayer looks explosively unbalanced and overcooked with the variety, I'll still enjoy it, and the co-op/campaign are bound to blow BF3's co-op/campaign out of the water.

Aint a fan of Military FPS's so this game is a no go for me.

MW3 Singeplayer is the equivalent of a Michael Bay film, Confirmed.

I will be getting it. Some of the new multiplayer changes no Last Stand, One-Man Army, or Commando, and the new killstreak system (now dubbed "pointstreak") seem to be taking the series in a positive direction. Spec Ops is also back, which is great as I loved the mode in MW2.

looks exciting, but i wont be picking this up this year. i'll wait for a price drop on this one i think..

I'm more interested in actual games, instead of interactive movies. I'm waiting for Skyrim, Sonic Generations, Lego Harry Potter and Saint's Row 3. I'll be skipping on the yearly military FPS rehash like I have been for a fair while.

I play games for fun. I enjoy Michael Bay movies as well because they are fun. I prefer oscar winning dramas like The King's Speech, and games like Assassin's Creed over MW, but that doesn't mean I cant just turn off my brain and enjoy something like MW every once in a while.

Im sorry but I don't see BF anywhere in that post. But lets air this out now then, BF's campaign will try to have pacing and atmosphere and for the most part it will work but it will also be another Michael Bay film with tonnes of explosions and basically just missions for every part of MP i.e jets, tanks, infantry etc

Im under no illusions that BF's campaign will be stellar and I have never said that. I didn't mention BF because I knew I would be jumped on but to be jumped on anyway is ridiculous. These boards have gotten so aggressive.

Thats is a very good arguement and I actually agree with it. I bought Just Cause 2 for the mindless fun and explosions and im enjoying. It is all about having fun afterall as you said. And for the people who buy MW3 I hope you enjoy it,Same for some of the BF guys.Nothing worse than spending your hard earned money and realising it was a waste.

Man I can't wait for the campaign. I've always really enjoyed the CoD campaigns. This just pumped me up even more!

Considering there has been a serious drought of COD threads within the last 2 months your claim holds very little credibility. True I have bashed it in the past but I haven't posted in a COD thread besides the new hype thread in about a month I think. Im not the only one bashing it so why call me out? People still play COD campaigns? lulz.... I don't think I've even finished one since COD4. Rediculous and unrealistic story lines, forgetable characters, boring linear progression, and just wave after wave of mindless AI. I don't know about you guys, but I just want to see some in-depth MP footage. I couldn't care less about the SP in this game.

That's because everyone here knows i dont buy my games, I rent them. ;p That's why I chose to say 'playing' instead of 'buying' in the thread title. It's much easier to enjoy games when I know i dont have to pay $60 for it. And if i like it, i get to keep it for a month for only $20.

I'm not buying MW3 this year i have other games that i want to play.

Are you telling me that you speak for me and everyone else when you say "Who really plays BF3 or MW3 for campaign?" Last I checked, I prefer to play those types of games with the campaign first. Multiplayer is fine for what it is, but the campaign does have its strengths and shouldn't be ignored.
