Okay I give up. Looks like Im playing Modern Warfare 3 this year.

People still play COD campaigns? lulz.... I don't think I've even finished one since COD4. Rediculous and unrealistic story lines, forgetable characters, boring linear progression, and just wave after wave of mindless AI. I don't know about you guys, but I just want to see some in-depth MP footage. I couldn't care less about the SP in this game.

I'd suggest you don't play the campaign of any FPS or any type of shooter games then--you just listed the gameplay of every single one. :lol: I, for one, thought MW1's campaign was one of the best shooter campaigns I've ever played. Hell its even got great pacing, one minute your a sniper, then boom AC130, next minute your SAS, then suddenly your USMC with a whole unit. C'mon, you've got to admit, that last scene at the end was epic--when Price threw you the gun and then he got gunned down, then you go "eat **** you ******." :P

The last good campaign was COD2, MP COD4... period. The series sales are great the game its self is mediocre with complete **** for netcoding. Its like pop music, just cause a ton of people like it doesn't mean its anygood.

I personally can't support the game since the devs got shafted.
Also don't think much of the COD devs TBH dueto theirlack of communitysupport or feedback. They don'thavethe same lovefor their communtiy such as other devs... They really ****ing don't.

Think the series needs a small hiatus...

Modern Warfare 3 looks interesting but I won't be picking it up for a while. The more I play Modern Warfare 2's online (to pass the time really when I want something quick to play and I'm tired of Black Ops) the less I want to play MW3. I mainly want to play the single player to see how the story progresses. As a result I'm going have to end up waiting for the price to get really low or rent if possible. Between picking up MW1 and MW2 on a Steam sale over the summer and already having Black Ops I think I'm good on the Call of Duty front for some time. I prefer how Treyarch designs their games in the end more as well. So chances are the next CoD game I get will be theirs.

Are you telling me that you speak for me and everyone else when you say "Who really plays BF3 or MW3 for campaign?" Last I checked, I prefer to play those types of games with the campaign first. Multiplayer is fine for what it is, but the campaign does have its strengths and shouldn't be ignored.

Funny thing is that the yotuube vid of the single player trailer in the OP has 2.5 million hits on youtube. :lol:

Well, I don't think the game will play itself. I'm looking forward to MW3 mainly for the story and the campaign. For multiplayer, I'll be sticking with BF3 (although I'm looking forward to the campaign of that too) unless friends of mine are playing MW3 online.

From what I understand with BF3, there is extra incentive for going through the campaign in BF3 with another player and from what I understand, it has a seperate story of its own compared to the single-player, so I'm more than intrigued to try it out. Not sure if MW3 is doing that though.

I was always going to buy it, it looks like the best FPS this year hands down.

Looks fun. I'll enjoy both MW3 and Bf3 while the idiots argue how much better their game is (mostly Bf3 fans do this)

Looks great, but Modern Warfare 2 sucked, and I've already filled my shooter quota for the year. Maybe next year when it's in the bargain bin or when the Gamefly queue has a few holes in it. Honestly, I'd play Resistance 3 in a heartbeat before I considered touching another COD game, and I'm not big on Resistance.

I will not be adding to MW3's sales.
