NES. I honestly don't want any console older than that anyway.

My NES. Trusted old toaster. I'm thinking about adding a top loader to it, but I'll probably wait for my old nes to die first.

PS1

I was modded for providing a 1 word answer so I'm writing this merely to satisfy some random over-zealous moderator who clearly doesn't like me.

I may sound lame, but the first console I had was the Game boy colour, but if you're counting only home consoles, my first was the PS2.

When I was much younger I played games at a youth club or round friends houses, and couldn't afford much games consoles :P

The oldest console I have would be a "Video Computer System by Atari" basically the original 2600.
- the problem with it is that it only outputs static on the screen - no sound or video.

The oldest working console I have would be the NES I got in March of 1988 that got a replacement 72-pin connector put in it about a year ago.
- It works great.

I got a dsi some months ago, got a ps2 slim from my sis's bf, and got a gba sp about a month ago. So if you mean which one is the oldest, i guess it's either my ps2 or gba sp.

The NES. I don't regret not having something older. It was a perfect console to start your gaming with.

Dell Dimension XPS D233. I was five when my dad bought his first Dell computer in 1997. My older brother and I played Lego Island and Flight Simulator 98 every day when we came back home after school! Good times!

Channel F. I hardly ever have it hooked up though because the power supply buzzes really loudly and I'm scared I'll blow up the house.

Aside from that, it would be my NES which I've had since forever (since I guess old computers like Spectrums and Commodores don't count). The NES is definitely my favourite retro machine too.

I sold or gave away my nes, snes, N64 but i still have this in some of my boxes. It might not be a real console but for me it was as you just load games from cassette and play them once loaded. And i don't know if there where any other functions for this system other then gaming or creating games.

ZX spectrum

The oldest console we own is, believe it or not, an Atari 5200! But too bad it's too hard to hook up. :(

^ Curious to what is wrong with it? All of those single board systems usually work pretty well or they just flatline. I have couple that are beyond fuzzy though but they do turn on. I clean them and clean them and nothing cures the fuzz. On some it's so bad that you can barely tell that it is powered up. A shame but I suspect they will all end up that way or flatline at some point.
