I like games that you can customize things in. I like to customize my house and my character, but i can deal with only customizing the character. I want to know of some games that you can do this in (for PS3 or PC). I liked Def Jam ICON customization, but the game was too short. Please post some games that have some good customization with a half decent story and gameplay.

PS2 speaking, Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2. The whole world is customizable and explorable in the 1st, including weapons. The 2nd had robots and more customizables, but I dunno about the world editor part.

Oblivion is cool if you're into Elder Scrolls, but I became bored after a while. The game is fun, but the whole game feels like a job after a while.

Mass Effect's good, but the AI needs work for a realistic (in a gaming sense) challenge for the battles.

Other than those...Metal Gear Online (the beta, anyway)has okay customization and the gameplay can be great or kinda lame.

If we're talking player customization, Entropia Universe has a wide ammount of customization, but almost no story as it's an MMO. Of course there's always the MechWarrier games, the newer ones are on Xbox though...

If you want RTS style customization, Genesis rising had an interesting take and story. An MMO that comes to mind is Shattered Galaxy. Each unit has components and levels, not too nice on the eyes though.

That's all off the top of my head, I'll keep an eye out though!

The best game I've seen so far with enjoyable player customization is The Sims franchise. Try Sims 2 and all of its expansion packs on the PC. Go build and design your own house.

If you're into online games, most specifically MMORPGs, then try Perfect World.

Hey, I found a closed beta that looks like it'll be perfect for customizers. It's an MMORTS, so it's pretty intriging already. It says it's "The first ever RTS that provides fully customizable units. You have the ability to design each component of every unit and facility giving you the ultimate power and flexibility to create your own strategy"

I'm going to try to get in and see just how good this is.

If you want to look go here.

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. So many different races, so many different sliders for facial structure and body size. So much different equipment to make your character look unique. Many different mounts (a dragon, a gryphon, a horse, a boat....), own your own house and add furniture and other items to it.

Basically if you wanna live in a fantasy world, Vanguard is it.
