The Header post under RPG's says:
"Shadow Hearts - Japanese RPG featuring Disney Characters."
...this is totally wrong and ought to be corrected. While I agree that Shadow Hearts is a great game, and a must-buy for any rpg fan. It does NOT feature Disney Characters, that would be the game Kingdom Hearts, I believe.
Shadow Hearts (the original) is a pretty dark and moody rpg...not Disney at all.

I will continue to add to and update the list, as well as add gamespot scores and a brief description
Dude this list is awesome i have either owned or still own majority of these games. Everbody should check them out
I am thinking about getting one of these games:
Rogue Galaxy, Odin Sphere , Dawn of Mana or Tales of the Abyss...
Ive heard good things about all of them but i just wanted to get some opinions on which one i should get first

Rogue Galaxy was good (At least from the Demo i played of it, and im about to get that now), Havn't played Odin Sphere or Dawn of Mana, but i own Tales of the Abyss. Its a really good game, espicially if you have someone else there to play with you. If you don't have anyone else with you, i wouldn't highly recomend it. But, its a good game though. Lots of extra's even when you beat it, as well as a new game+ as some would say.
Tales of the Abyss is very good imo. Not so sure about the other games but I can say that everything in Tales of the abyss is excellent :DI am thinking about getting one of these games:

My top games of the onesI've had the prevlidge of playing for the PS2 are: Metal Gear Solid 3, Final Fantasy X, Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, Black, and (drum roll Please) Last but definitely not least, Resident Evil 4, which is probably the best of the games I listed (in my opinion or course). I would rate all of these games a 9.9 at the time of their release except Black, only b/c of a lack of online play and uncompelling story, and too short. But the gameplay is GREAT, and deserves to be mentioned. Oh, and Resident Evil 4 gets a perfect 10. 8)
Final Fantasy X or Dragon Quest VIII are long. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is Long too. I haven't played Final Fantasy XII yet, but I suspect it'll be long. And Resident Evil can take about 20 to complete, but I don't know if in your opinion 20 hours is a long game.

i already finished rogue galaxy, tales of the abyss and odin sphere, they rock! u shud consider getting valkyrie profile 2 silmeria... dont buy dawn of mana, its lame and it aint good
should i get final fantasy 12 or rogue galaxy?matrix_hiei
get them both if u can, but if you have to choose, go wid ff12, u cant go wrong wid that, rogue galaxy is good, but its kinda repetitive...

resident evil 20 hours? i passed it in normal mode for 5 hours... LOL
for a long game /\ /\ /\ definitely go for FFX. You'll find that even after you beat the last boss there are Boss' such as NEMESIS that you will have to train for ages to beat. It took me 140 hours to completely finish every single bit of it, obviously this was over a very long time period but still FFX is very useful when you're bored of every other game because theres always something else to do. Also go for FFX-2, although its nowhere near as good it does continue on probably the best gaming storyline ever. Hope I've helped. #1
