PS3 or Xbox 360? what to buy now?

So im a little bored and I have a wii u…

I figure the games look really cheap now and I can probably get one of the last gen consoles and play all the games I missed out on. I enjoy games that are hard or have some puzzles to them or are stealth like. I got the wii u just for Zelda! And it isnt even out!!

I like things like splinter cell, prince of persia, batman and other games of the like.

Im afraid of big huge open worlds cause I find myself sometimes really lost and I like when a game is somewhat linear.

i also don't have all the time to go world exploring.

So what are the best games and which console should I get?

I'd recommend the 360 myself. I really like the controller, prefer the exclusives, you can install the entire disc to play directly off the HDD, and it supports up to two 2TB external HDD's which will give you tons of room for all those cheap games.

Get a 360 I suppose.

Get both. If i had to choose one it wouldnbe 360.

I have both and think they are both worth owning, but if I could only recommend one, it would definitely be the Xbox 360. It is the superior console in almost every way. Better controller, better online service, better user interface/OS, better marketplace, better Arcade/Indie game catalog, better versions of most multiplats, etc.

I'd say go with PS3, it has the better library of games imo.

I own both, so I can't really say but look at the list of exclusives and that would be a good place to start.... if you can't get both.

"IF" Online service is important to you, then I would say go with the 360 because LIVE is a better quality service then the PSN.

Now, I'm not saying that the PSN is that bad because it has improved through the years, but LIVE overall is the better service.

I own both, get a X360, it has tons of games, XBL is better service than PSN, you can plug an external up to 2 TB for storage, the controller is better ) if you run out of batteries just put in a fresh pair of rechargeable ones ), free games are really free ( not like PSN games that once your membership expires you can no longer play them ) .

Get both. PS3/360 are cheap as hell now.

@shamguy4, I'd say the PS3. I only have like 2 games atm, but I can say that the PS3 has a far more superior library of games than Xbox 360 does.

@shamguy4: i owned both, but sold the ps3. there's some good exclusives for it but overall i'd say the 360 is the superior console - better online, generally superior multiplats, better controller plus a load of great exclusives. you can't go wrong with a 360 really

@Macutchi: yeah bro! I liek PS3 lololololol! But in all seriousness, I've seen some nice PS3 games on offer. Even though I have 2 PS3 games (about to be 3 soon) I do think the PS3 has a great library of games.

I'd say the 360 personally. I honestly had both, and think that they're both worth owning, but I definitely got a lot more enjoyment out of my 360.

I recommend the PS3, I've never liked Xbox or Microsoft to be honest and I'm not a fan of the Xbox controller in the first place.

Some pros of PS3 are

- Free internet gaming

- PlayStation exclusive games (Like Beyond 2 Souls, which was amazing, and Until Dawn)

- The impressive library besides the exclusives

- Graphics have always seemed superior, at least to me

- Always players to play with, well mattering on the game but I own around 40 games with 30 of them having online features that I still use to this day with other games

Oh and if your thinking of getting the Xbox because of all those cheap little Microsoft games, well I'm not even going to get into it but some are nothing more the softcore porn...

Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, Splinter Cell Blacklist, James Blond: Bloodstone, Sniper Elite 2 + 3, Uncharted Series, Deadfall Adventures.

That are some games...both AAA games and underrated :)

Did I just get out of a hot tub time machine? Get with the current gen bro. You will never look back, and even if you want to Xbox one has your back with backward combatibility. Jump ahead! (sorry got cheezy there)

I have both and I'd recommend the PS3.

I feel that the 360 was the better console to have in its first two years. It had good exclusives, and the multi-platform games were noticeably better on the 360 (like GTA 4). However, that changed (maybe after Kinect?) and the PS3 started having the better games. Now, I'm not a huge sports or Call of Duty player, so if you are, maybe the 360 is still the better place. But the quality of multi-plats evened out to where the 360 version was not any better than the PS3. The PS3 also started getting more exclusive games and a good variety as well.

However, I agree with @the-a-baum that if you're inclined to do so, just get an X1 or PS4. By the time you buy a PS360 and a few games, you'll be at that $400 price point where you can buy a current console. Especially an X1 that has so many bundles out there (although I'd recommend a PS4 :) ).
