Racism in Resident Evil 5: HONEST point of view from an African native

Hey, I am from Angola, and I love video games, you can tell by my gamerscore. Well, it's easy to talk about an issue that doesn't fully relate to some of you guys. As an African native, someone who is from an activist family, my uncles and brothers have attended or are in the military, and my parents have been jailed for protesting for Civil Rights during colonial times. Today, my dad came a long way to be a Governor, the Govr. of Benguela, in my home country. I lived in several countries in Europe, and now in TX, anyway... I'm no angry gamer... 1) I find that Resident Evil 5 's location is superb. Why? Because, there are no too many AAA games that take place in Africa with such accuracy, well in a way, Africa is not all about villages and jungles, and everybody knows that anyway.2) Therefore, the population has to be truthful to the setting.3) It's a RE game, it's a survival game, therefore it's kill or be killed.4) Criticizing the art and direction of this game would be hypocritical and baseless. (On every movie, sitcom, or any other form of entertainment, there has to be a protagonist, the same goes for antagonists, different groups of people is a natural thing in story telling).In order to let go of the past, it is necessary to re-start anew, and transform ourselves from within. The one who looks at only one game and thinks 'the game' is racist because the protagonists doesn't have the same skin color as his foes, should think about how the world should worry about erasing taboos related to race, gender, and focus on harmonizing differences. Just because someone might be seeing nothing but racism, doesn't make it substantial.However, it would be great to see another black hero in a AAA game, and I say black, not stereotypically black or should I say, African, or African American. Don't get me wrong, CJ in San Andreas is a great character for the type of game and story, his personality fits the story really well. For once, I would like more games where the protagonist or antagonist happens to be black, and that's it. The same way there are weird heroes in Japanese games that look Euro-Asian with blue, gold, red, or white hair, and other diverse looks, IT DOESN'T MATTER! As long as the characters are charismatic. Even so, I'm still waiting for a black main character in a Resident Evil game, a Final Fantasy game, or any other big game. I repeat, a black hero, not a side-kick. For that matter, how about a main black character in Resident Evil 5? Well, at least just like Steve was in RE: Code Veronica.Resident Evil 5 is NOT racist. It's cool and refreshing. And by the way, the foes are probably infected with another virus (by the Umbrella Corp.!?), so who cares if they are inhabitants of Raccoon City, if they are Ganados, or whatever they are called in Resident Evil 5? No one should really. I don't.Stop criticizing others, and start spreading love, the pigment color does not matter.That's my word. **if you have anything to add, go here,OR leave a word here. $50 if Capcom made an RE6 taking place in Europe, with an African American protagonist, nobody would say that. Who cares about skin color? People who are saying the game is racist are just fostering racism themselves by suggesting that differences in skin color matter.
