[QUOTE="thedarklinglord"] getting jumped by mutants during the dark of night. Kevlar101You pointing that out has totally ruined the game for me. Sorry 'bout that. But it's true! I was actually replaying Borderlands when Rage was delivered, and given the really similar feel to the wastelands of both games, I was really expecting that day/night cycle. And it was really disappointing when it never came. I mean, you have this post-apocalyptic wasteland environment with these freaky mutants running around, and there's no night? WTF?! And it's an id game. These are the same people who used gloom and shadow so well in the original Quake, and who forced you to choose between using a flashlight or your gun in Doom 3. How did they screw this up? Major letdown. Hell, had they really wanted to up the creepy, they could've pushed beyond the dark blue/purple lighting of Borderlands night and gone straight to the almost suffocating pitch black of Left 4 Dead. Just had eerie glowing eyes of the mutants coming at you in that wild, bouncing, loping animal-like movement... Gives me the willies just thinking about it. So much wasted potential...
