Knife, trust me. It does about 40 damage on Krauser per hit. What's even better is that it requires no ammo, which is helpful in your current situation.
In the third sequence shoot him until he kneels down in pain and then knife him in the head. It does crazy damage. Also, if you are lucky, you can kill him using only the knife. He'll just walk into the swings but timing is everything.

Yes, restart the game. You'll find things you didn't the first time around, you'll use less ammo killing enemies the second time around because you've most likely gotten better at the game...and it's not like playing through would be a chore at all.
If its not on the wii then it will be harder due to controller layout. So I would personally recommend restart if your a noob but if your knife tactics are gewd watch some youtube videos and then you can fly through that part.

That is true, it actually gets tougher after Krauser..you MIGHT want to start over.
I died to him like 10+ times before I finally killed his ass with a gun. Then i read about being able to slaughter him with the knife and was mad lol. I wouldnt start over though. I had so much ammo left when i beat the game, you will find some when you need it.
that dude, the strong army man you say, well i did not use any bullets on the dude, i gave him the silent killer more the knife and sofe quick kicks, will do not that hard if you know the tecnic

RE4 is pretty easy on normal difficulty... Pro is abit more of a challenge
I played this game on the console it was designed for, the Gamecube. I wonder if the people who are frustrated and are having trouble with this game are playing it on the PS2. The Gamecube controls were awesome in this game but I wonder how well the PS2 controls are..

^ one sitting? just like do nothing all day but play RE4? i think my first time through was 10 hours or so (maybe more i don't remember its been awhile) but yeah i didn't think it was that tough, there were a couple times i actually ran out of ammo but it was mainly because i didn't capitalize on headshots. i got killed a couple times too but i managed, there were a couple frustrating parts but i don't wanna spoil the game for anyone who hasn't played it. needless to say though, once i figured it out i realized "duh, thats way easier than i expected i overcomplicated it needlessly"

10 hours ? ah well, mine was not that long. probably less than 6-5 hours... well it was in one sit because i found a free weekend and the game was so much fun.
First of all, partner, believe in yourself. You are special! You are unique! You are powerful! Then play the game non-stop for about 37 hours. You should have it mastered by then. Be sure to drink plenty of coffee.
