Hi people, I´m playing Red Dead Redemption - Game of the Year Edition on Xbox 360 for quite some time now and I´m close to 100% completing it, but the thing is that the entire time I´m playing this, rotating camera to the left or upper left and lower left corners is much slower than to the right.

It´s not my controller because I have a brand new controller right now and it was doing even on my previous controller, also I test it with my other 360 controllers as well and all of them is doing it, the thing is that every one is doing it to the left side but some controller is doing it only to the upper left and lower left corners and some to the entire left side.

It´s not happening with any other game, only on the Red Dead Redemption and on every controller I have, some of them just doing it only to the corners etc. as I said above.

Was it happening for you as well ? I know it´s just a thing of this game but I want to hear your experience with it.

Thanks for your answers. :)

@seznam88: RDR is from Rockstar. Rockstar is an American company. America is capitalist. Capitalists are right-wing. Right is always stronger.

If the game was called Red Army Redemption, I bet the left rotation would be much faster.

Yup, that logic checks out.

But for real though it's nothing I ever noticed if it really is a thing. Does this only happen when you're aiming or just in general? If it's the former, maybe it has something to do with which shoulder you're aiming from. If I remember right, you can switch shoulders in this game when shooting, probably by pushing the L3 or R3 button. Or maybe that's not even a thing in this game, it's been a while since I've played it.

I seem to remember something like that too, about how you can choose your aiming shoulder. Maybe the game settings have aiming sensitivity options and there are some stuff you can fiddle with there?

Thanks for answers guys. :)

I found the issue, it´s my brand new controller itself because the same thing is happening for me on Gears of War (1). But there it gets the full speed sometimes, I need to move the analog to the left for example 3 times before it gets the full speed so I´ m sending it to warranty. Hopefully they will change the controller for me.

"Brand new controller" is no guarantee of functionality when it comes to Xbox 360 controllers. I bought three of them that had factory flaws: one with a busted dpad, the other two with bad analog sticks, with crazy dead zones. The build quality is absolutely terrible, which is sad, because it's possibly the best controller in years, design-wise.

My words man, exactly my thing as well, I had a lot of 360 controllers in the past and sometimes one of them was great and the second one was bad. And from what I can hear it´s the same thing with the Xbox One controllers as well. Microsoft need to get their s*** right when it comes to hardware. I never had a problem with any of my PS3 controllers or Sony controllers in general, only problems I had with them is just when I did something with them by myself by accident or by wearing them out after a long, long time of playing. So yeah when it comes to quality Sony is the best in this regard.

Yeah, my 2009 controler that came with the console was fine. Unfortunately i wore it down playing too much CoD, so I had to go through the trials and tribulations of finding a good quality one (still haven't). To my knowledge, quality started going down around the same time the Kinect thing happened, not sure how the two may be linked, but there it is. Oh and yes, Xbone controllers seem to suffer from the same issue. (don't mind the foreign language, he's saying he just lightly brushes the stick with his thumb. Skip to 20 seconds in).
