[QUOTE="Skylock00"][QUOTE="CarnageHeart"] Retreatment is overly harsh. RE5 follows the formula of RE4, but RE3, CV, Remake and Zero followed the formula of RE2 (which was much more action heavy than the original RE).

Perhaps, but I'm not implying in any way that RE5 is going to be a bad game, or even just a good game. RE4 was one of the best, well paced games of the past generation, and if RE5 is a re-treatement (in my view) of RE4, that's going to easily make it sit well towards the top of action games, and games in general, for this generation.I accpet that as a game, RE4 stands heads and shoulders above its predecessors in its quality, and cohesion within what it tries to do...I'm still bummed out that the franchise lost many elements that caused me to fall in love with the games in the first place, and as it seems that RE5 continues that, I can't help but have that feeling perpetuate a little.
One thing I wish was done was, as I mentioned, a second attempt of the Outbreak franchise, but this time making the experience better paced, and have better communication and control matters in it, as that could have some better luck on the 360 and PS3 than it did on the PS2.
I can totally respect that. I completely understand what you mean. Strangely for me, such a big fan of the franchise, I think I was burned out on it. One day though I would love for it to go back though.
I think Dead Space will more than satisfy anyone who has a desire for a new next-gen survival horror.
