A large retailer that one can shoot at will not be carrying the edited Playstation 2 version of Manhunt 2. They say it contains adult content and will not carry it. All shipments are being sent back to Take-Two. I have this from a very reliable source. I personally feel this is stupid but the company refereed to is a very socially conscious company, they do not carry tobacco products, guns of any kind and hard alcohol. I just thought people should know that way they don't go to this retailer for Manhunt 2. I have not heard anything about the Wii or PSP version. Hadescouncilguess Danny has more work to do...
What major retailer and what reliable source.
If your talking about Wal-Mart that's not exactly a revelation.
Best buy has em
Game Stop has em
My local EB Games had 6 of them for the Wii and 3 left for PS2 on the shelf tonight. I don't think they had any PSP's but I don't check that section and they are available online.
If are talking about Wal-Mart I got news for you.
They don't carry a lot of things they find "objectionable" Things like Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson or any unrated DVD's.
Name the store, list your source and provide a link.
Without those things your basically saying my friend heard from this guy who's dating your ex girlfriends sister that your car smells.
grrrrr you fix one spacing glitch and another appears:roll: I give up
See now that is a little more interesting. Why don't you edit that to just say Target is the store and the source is an employee ;) I would not want you to get in any trouble.
I listed just 2 places where it is on the shelf for people that use Target or Wal-Mart for game shopping.
I didn't know Target doesn't sell Booze..... ya learn something everyday.
You know I can understand trying to keep an image but still, if that's the deal then they should not carry any M rated games. Truth is they are just afraid of someone bashing them and getting caught up in the controversy so its easier to just say we don't carry it.
I see GameSpot has finally caught on to this today.

GS gives credit for breaking the story to an Evil Avatar poster (Dr. Finger) who's post was only about 4 hours before this one.
Hadescouncil was ahead of the tide on this one.
has anyone heard of a little thing called the 1st amendment???
guess notGC4ever
Well the first amendment would also guarantee that a private individual wouldn't HAVE to support someone else's speech too, including choosing not to carry a game they object to (for whatever reason). The first amendment isn't a right to someone else's soapbox, so I don't see what this has to do with it.
