That really isn't the easiest comparison...the two companies are completely different. I simply have to say, Bethesda has less games but each one is worth at least two of Biowares. Firstly I have played all the games you mentioned and your missing quite a few out but that doesn't matter, The Elders Scrolls series alone is worth far more then anything Bioware had produced, Although I do like all of Biowares games, they are all far from perfect and almost always feel that they are missing something or they should have done more, I would say Biowares best game is KOTOR. Bethesda has only focused on their main series the Elders Scrolls, Arena, daggerfall, redguard, Morrowind and Oblivion, they then took on the project of Fallout 3 and now they are making Rogue Warrior. I will simply say that if i had a choice to get rid of one of the companies it would be Bioware, although they have made some of my favorite games none of them are perfect, and although I play there games for months it just makes me grow completely bored of their games in the end. Bethesda's games never die, even now I still play Morrowind and Oblivion and Fallout 3, the games just don't die, Morrowind alone takes far longer to clock then all of Biowares games put together, and for me longetivity means a hell of a lot because it usually only takes me a day or two to complete a game. They are also so addictive, play them even once and I find myself playing for months.stike22
Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 w/ are among the greatest games ever made. I'm sorry, but Bethesda has not made anything to match it even closely.
I like Bethesda because of Fallout 3. But Dragon Age looks good.ASK_StoryVery good point, my only problem with that game is that it doesn't have character custom...at least not to my knowledge and I think thats pretty terrible for games of this gen...I mean honestly I really don't care to pick from a pack of pre-made freaks with their own little stories...at least let us change what they look like Bioware. As I said before Biowares games always seem to have something missing, in this case character custom.
Bioware's shtick of releasing unfinished product was old a generation ago. Bethesda by a goddamn country mile. They aren't perfect, but after Mass Effect...... damn. Bioware didn't even bother patching it it was so bad.
Bioware. Fallout 3 is the only Bethesda title I was able to really get into and enjoy. The morrowind games can be fun but the level up system is not of my taste and puts me off. Oblivion was difficult due to it's enemies leveling up with you. At level 5, I got murdered by a fish all because I leveld up incorrectly.

Bioware wasn't really involved in The Witcher (they just made the engine, many years ago), and Bethesda didn't develop Call of Cthulhu (they only bought it up and dumbed it down).
Anyway, Bioware is easily the better company, but then again, Bioware hasn't made a great RPG for over half a decade.
Bioware.
Mostly because their game has a lot less bugs compared to Bethesda. Not that Biowares games are bug free, but compared to Bethesda? No contest.
I hate bugs. I seriously seriously hate bugs.
I love both. I mean Kotor is amazing, and so is Mass Effect. I didnt really get into Jade Empire. But Morrowind is still my favorite game, I love Oblivion but its not nearly as good as morrowind. And Fallout 3 is just great.
But I have just recently gotten into PC gaming so I have not played Neverwinter Nights or Baldurs gate (for the PC) so as of right now Im going to have to go with Bethesda

This is funny considering Bethesda has a history of releasing buggy software. I've never had a problem with any of Bioware's games although I have not played Mass Effect.
I'd say its pretty close, Bioware does some things better than Bethesda and vice versa. In a Bioware game you can expect a great main quest with a good storyline and characters, while in a Bethesda game you get a huge game world with lots of exploration elements and some good side quests.
I've never played a BioWare game I didn't like, whereas I can't say the same about Bethesda. This brings me to:
I simply have to say, Bethesda has less games but each one is worth at least two of Biowares.

 What? Bethesda's made a huge number of games. Do your homework before you post.
I would have to go with Bioware.
They havent released a game I like in a long time, but I guess they have been aiming at a different crowd.
They DO however make decent stories, and thier games are usually very polished.
I like the Bethesta games, well except the bugs. They remind me alot of the Might and magic series (my all time favorite) They just lack something... it is hard to put my finger on it.
Bioware games are much more polished, but Bethesda's offer much larger scope and more to do than those of any other developer...I have to go with Bioware though.
Yeah this is such a useless comment seeing as they both struggle in the QA department and the scope of Bethesda's worlds make their games chock full of bugs. Just ask any of the PC gamers that are still trying to get Fallout 3 to work properly, or the PS3 players that are pissed because their version of the game is worse than the other two, or the fact they HAD to patch Shivering Isles because there was a bug that ruins your save when you play Oblivion + Shivering Isles for a set amount of time. Don't let hatred blind you of the facts.Bioware's shtick of releasing unfinished product was old a generation ago. Bethesda by a goddamn country mile. Bethesda, Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Fallout 3, and get this I absolutely loved Oblivion and its expansion Shivering Isles...Bioware loses points because Mass Effect was ruined by glitches and so many bland carbon copy planets. KoTOR was indeed pretty damn awesome though.
Your post is confusing. You pick Bethesda, then name two BioWare games and then a Bethesda gameBethesda, Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Fallout 3, and get this I absolutely loved Oblivion and its expansion Shivering Isles...Bioware loses points because Mass Effect was ruined by glitches and so many bland carbon copy planets. Bioware by a mile for me, I really don't play Bethesda game for a long period time and most of the time it doesn't catch my interest or the theme just isn't there for me while on the other hand I enjoyed almost all of Bioware project just not too happy about how glitchy they are though.

Oh man I didn't even realize I did that, it must have been my subconscious coming to light, I want to love Bioware but they put out a lot of subpar games as well...Jade Empire was pretty crap and parts of Mass Effect were crap.
Bethesda only demonstrated their poor publisher support for Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, the game was developed by the now-bankrupt Headfirst Productions. Also, BioWare didn't have much (if anything) to do with The Witcher. It's evident that CD Project Red was very much influenced by BioWare (they did localizations for BioWare games), but I think they used the BioWare/Aurora brand solely for marketing purposes. The Witcher is actually running on Criterion's Renderware engine, I'm not even sure in what way did CD Project Red use Aurora at all.
Anyway, it's BioWare for me. Even if they never made anything other than Knights of the Old Republic, they would still forever be dear in my heart as that game is one of the 7 best games I ever had the pleasure of playing. I loved Oblivion as well, but I found Morrowind boring and its gameworld static and drab.
