Allmost certainly mre will follow soon, it's just a matter of time. Hopefully another site can come along with the older gamspot way of doing things. By that I mean the podcast, on the spot, good reviews and community/ gametracking features with the excellent personalities. TBH, Ryan hasn't been the hugest presence on the site, but when he is around (ots, some hotspots and a few reviews) I've allways enjoyed his opinion and style.

Don't be sad. The IGN / Gametrailers / Kotaku combo works well as a substitute for GS. It'd be awesome to see all the former editors start their own site. It seems like the higher ups at CNET/GS are just as naive about games as the people at Fox who put together that awful slander about Mass Effect a few weeks back.
Every single person with an identifiable personality has left the staff. I feel bad for Ricardo Torres because he is left trying to salvage whatever he can of whatever is left of Gamespot.

Unfortunate for this site- he's really the last recognizable figure for GS to me. Gamespot started to feel very hollow after Gertsmann was gone, but now it feels like a complete shell.
I really like a lot of the community features here, but everything else just doesn't seem worth my time.
Guess the stink in the office is becoming unbearable.
What kills me about CNET is that they seem to think the Gamespot editors were too controversial and then I see that link from ZDnet about "Why does the MacBook Air Make So Many So Dumb?" Is CNET trying to say that agenda driven fanboys are better than objective game reviewers?
This really makes the Gerstmann scenario appear even more ridiculous.
Even though I'm not surprised I am a bit saddened. It stinks to see 'the faces of Gamespot' depart. I definitely plan on keeping an eye on all these guys and hopefully they will team up for the ultimate gaming website.
Left to go: Brad, Ricardo I guess...who else? Even though kevin is kind of a freshface, I still think he's a good reviewer and that if the old gamespot crew made a new website, he should go there too. Also, thor and brendan are good news dudes, If the oldies made a new site I'd also like to see them there

Sad to hear this, we all knew it would happen eventually, but it definitely seems to have taken place in one go. Good luck Ryan wherever you may go. These are interesting times, it will be interesting to see what happens to Gamespot over the next 6 months to a year. Ah, if only I were a fly on the wall in Gamespot's offices...
Now that's shocking indeed. Somehow, I thought that Cnet would try and keep a core of experienced editorial staff, but that is apparently not the case. Actually, I think that GS will be better off as yet another IGN editorial satellite.
I got ten dollars that says the old GS crew, including Ryan (damn man... Ryan's leaving :() will hook back up and start their own site. I mean seriously, who wouldn't jump ship?
