The problem is that you forgot to pay attention to Fable 2, Little Big Planet, Spore, PixelJunk Eden, etc.

This is the shooter era. Although, that's not to say that there aren't awesome games in other genres as well.

Its only a shooter era if that is how you are determined to see it. There have always been more shooters than other games.rzepak

Huh, must've missed that huge shooter sector of the PS1/N64 era that overwhelmed every other genre on those platforms. ;)

All the shooters of this era were on the pc due to the lack of power in cosoles.

Now that consoles have essentially caught up to their pc brethern in terms of capabilities, shooters have found a new home with a larger audience.
