i'm disapointed in saw, i thought it would be a sims style game but oh no, it's about trying to escape. well that's stupid becuase the entire point is that you die and its gory but the idea is to dodge it. how boring!?

Well, in fairness, the films are about trying to escape the horrible and gory death, it's just hardly anybody does manage to escape because the 'puzzles' are usually require some self sacrifice. Regardless, the game has never had the potential to interest me, and it still doesn't. I don't know why the Saw franchise has become so spun out like this, but it has. :(

i like the concept, not enough puzzles in games theses days and it seems logical that a saw game would have them.

How could a Saw game be anything other than trying to avoid dying? That's the point of the movies, trying to find people who are willing to live. A very Nietzsche-esque approach, the will to live.

The first movie was great and the second was pushin' it. But three on began to seriously suck.

I actually think this looks pretty good. The Saw films are kind of a guilty pleasure for me, and I'm definitely keeping an eye on this - although I don't expect it to be anything earth shattering. The hands on feature makes it seem more like a QTE fest than a puzzler, I hope that they put some clever puzzles in along with all the combat and shotgun dodging.

I've seen 3 of the first 5 movies and thought they were the biggest piles of poop i'd ever seen. I don't expect a game to get much out of these.

I don't know what I find the most odd, that you are surprised Saw is about escaping or that you thought it'd be like The sims?

Exactly. The first actually had merit as an interesting concept, but then they just went into pursuing more and more gore.
