i remember Xmen: Children of the Atom was addictive back in the day.
I'm an old-school fan ...so any good 2D titles?
Virtua Fighter 2 is a must
Virtua Cop 1, 2 or both. Get light guns.
Gaurdian Heroes (Awesome 2D beat em up with RPG elements)
Panzer Dragoon II Zwei (1 isnt bad either)
Three Dirty Dwarves (as mentioned above is 2d and pretty fun)
Beyond Oasis (Zelda like action RPG)
Mr. Bones
I actually just bought a Saturn last week. The best games are
1. Radiant Silvergun (It will at least $200)
2. Guardian Heroes
3. Panzer Dragoon Zweii and Saga (If you want to pay another $200-300)
4. Darius Gaiden
5. Fighters Megamix
6. Virtua Cop 1&2
7. Daytona USA or Sega Rally Championship
8. Manx TT
9. World Series Baseball, II, and 98
10. Any of the Cotton games
11. Myst
12. Theme Park
13. Three Dirty Dwarves
14. Shinning Force 3
15. Mr. Bones
16. Clockwork Knight
17. Nights Into Dreams (I can't believe I almost forgot this game. This is probably the one I play the most on the Saturn)
18. Tomb Raider
19. Tempest 2000
I would just buy a Saturn, the 4mb Ram Card, Nights, World Series Baseball 98, and Radiant Silvergun. I absolutely love the Sega Saturn. I used to have one when I was younger because my parents were too cheap to buy me a N64 or a PS1. I should say cheap. Lazy would be a better word. The Saturn was very easy to get, while the PS1 and the N64 were always sold out. There are so many amazing games. Most of which you can find in gargain bins, thrift stores, vintage games stores and E-bay for a good price. I don't know why, but I really love the World Series Baseball Series more than anything.
All the RPG's go for a LOT of money, so I personally use other systems for my RPG's.
Nights Into Dreams- must have game. This was the Saturn's killer app. It is the best games for the Saturn, and my favorite non RPG game.
Gex- very good 2d game
Bug series- you would probably like it.
Clockwork night series- amazing 2d games.
There are many more, but these are what I can remember right now.
Clockwork Knight
Keio 2
Nights
Starfighter 3000 (I don't care what anyone says, this game is cool)
Virtua Fighter Kids
Alien Trilogy
Alone in the Dark 2
Duke Nukem 3d
Command and Conquer (The Saturn version is the best console version).
Panzer Dragoon
The Saturn has a lot of great games, I think it's easier to categorize some of the best with their price range.

i dono the sega saturn was not very goodblueraydude1
wow you are so helpfull! and im sure you owned one and just threw it away because it was a piece of junk.
anyways. TC, i would say good sega Saturn games that i know of would be Daytona USA, Panzer dragoon, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Cop (if you can get a light gun for it), and im sure there are a few more, but i cannot think of any. Don't listen to guys like blueraydude, he's probably too young to remember the saturn. I played the saturn some (same with the 3dO) , and always wanted one, but I decided to go with the Playstation because of games like Twisted Metal. If you can get a saturn for a decent price, go for it. You can still find games used for it at Goodwill and other places that sell old games. It was much better than Sega CD, but the Playstation was just a better product with better games. But really there is no reason to own every console if u ask me (if the price is right that is).
i dono the sega saturn was not very goodblueraydude1Only in America(and possibly Europe). The Saturn put on a good show in Japan. Good thing that people here have reminded me of Radiant Silvergun, Princess Crown, and Guardian Heroes, as I forgot about them for whatever reason. (I still remembered about Panzer Dragoon Zwei and Saga, though.) Oh, and some things you should know: -Panzer Dragoon Saga and Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG are pretty much the same game. The former is the English and overpriced version. The latter is in Japanese and fairly affordable. -Some games that did have translated English releases on other platforms, such as Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight(Castlevania: Symphony of the Night)and the Lunar titles, don't have English releases on the Saturn. (I blame Sega's management for refusing permission for games to be brought Stateside and just doing a horrible job of marketing here.)
Some systems, sad as it is, are best left for emulation in the long run in the U.S. and Europe. The Saturn is one of these. Unless you speak Japanese or plan to learn Japanese (I in fact will be enrolling in Japanese courses at USF in the near future), the Saturn isn't your best option. My friend owned one, and we certainly loved it. There were at least 3 or 4 dozen 6.0-8.0 titles released here, but there were only a few exceptional titles released in our respective regions. I don't need to list them, obviously, because Panzer Zwei posted a very thorough summary.

Agreed. I only own about 30 Saturn games, But there are still many many more that I would love to own, But simply can't afford because they are so rare in the US. That's the problem with great consoles that don't succeed.
