I still play it occasionally, its got a great game library, especially if youre willing to import

some good games I recommend

Dead or Alive (Japanese Import)

Virtua Fighter 2

Resident Evil

Panzer Dragoon Zwei

Xmen vs Street Fighter (Japanese Import, needs the 4MB RAM cart)

Bulk Slash (Japanese Import)

Sonic Jam (yes its just a compilation of Sonic 1/2/3, but its improved over the mega drive versions

Astal (US/JP only game)

King of Fighters 97

I was tricked into this thread, I thought u ment the German WW2 console used by the Schutzstaffel.
Anyway I still have to expand my Saturn Library, I adore Nights, I played it this year and I think it's one of the best games ever made.
I also have an import copy of Samurai Spirits 4, cause I love me some Samurai Shodown.

Haven't had a Saturn in years (my cat mistaked it as a litter box). It is still one of my favorite consoles. Virtua Cop 1 and 2 were probably my favorite games on it. SCUD: The Disposable Assassin was pretty fun too and my sister was really into Nights into Dreams 1 and 2, Daytona USA and Clockwork Knight.

I just bought a brand new one in the box for $10 bucks, and it came with Sega Rally. I'm crazy addicted to that game.

Currently i have the following consoles hooked up to my TV

PS3

PS2

Gamecube

Original XBOX

Wii(Hardly gets played)

360(Wishes it was hooked up)

SNES

Sega Dreamcast

Sega Saturn.

Yeah I have quite a load going there on my tv.

I had a Saturn but sold it on ebay in 2005. I had quite a few good games for it including Metal Slug, Soukyugurentai, Samurai Showdown 3 among others. I had the official arcade stick, the steering wheel, the action replay cartridge etc etc. The price I got for everything when I sold it on ebay was less than I paid to import Metal Slug from Japan. I was devastated. Serves me right for not including a reserve price I suppose. The buyer from that auction got a bargain. Everything was mint.

Recently I've been thinking about picking up a Japanese Saturn but I know I wouldn't play it that much so I decided against it. I've got loads of games to try and get through and I just spent £1700 on a gaming PC a few months ago. When I bought the PC I said I wouldn't buy any more consoles for a few years. It was the only way I could justify spending that much. lol.

For the Saturn I'd love to get Radiant Silvergun, Dodonpachi, Battle Garegga, Thunder Force 5,Kingdom Grandprix, Sengoku Bladeand a few others. I'd get Metal Slug and Soukyugurentai again. Those games were great.

When I was a kid no one I know ever had a saturn, so I only played it once at a mall. Not impressed, I thought the controller felt plasticky and the graphics looked way worse than the PS. Never felt the need to play it again.

Yes indeed I do play my Sega Saturn, I have so many good imports for the thing that I can literally keep playing it without stopping. About 90% of my 30 or so Saturn games are imports, stuff mainly from Konami, Taito, and a few Capcom Generation titles, to stuff like Darius Gaiden SU version (also from Taito), to Daytona and Virtua Fighter 2. The Saturn was a mighty fine system, with one heck of an import scene.

it is a very good game, it only has one playable character (2 if you include the dragon, who is really just part of the same character), and it is short, but its a great game, I reviewed it and gave it a 9.5 so I think its a great game, the combat system is very unique and very fun, and for a saturn , the graphics are very good. though its not really worth £150 (no game is), but when I saw it for £60, complete with the manual and outer box (the EU version came in 2 seperate boxes and an outer cardboard box), I just had to get it, and I dont regret it one bit. is it the best RPG ever.....no , but its certainly one of the best

I wish I could find one for that low. The store I usually go to has it for $40 and it comes with 1 controller. I just bought Darkstalkers for $12 a couple of weeks ago. I'm still trying to get my hands on a copy of Street Fighter Alpha 2... I still have to wait to get the actual Sega Saturn console for financial reasons. I guess i'll just get a few games here and there until I save up for the console.

Here's an arcade port that I own, and you'll probably think I'm wacky for it, Pulirula. Nothing screams gotta have game that looks like it was designed by developers on drugs more than this game. The Saturn port is identical to the PSX port, but are slightly below the original arcade port.

Yea, I'm definitely gonna get Megamix.. But will I really need Virtua Fighters Kids if there are already some of the better ones in Megamix? Because since I'm getting this I'm not gonna buy Fighting Vipers unless someone can advise me otherwise. Any suggestions will definitely help. I'm pretty new to Saturn since only one of my friends had it when it was in its prime and I only played it a litttle back then. I want it now because I love 2D fighters and I known its one of the better consoles for that genre. I never heard of Dragon Force until you mentioned it. I did a lil research on it and def sounds worth checking out even though i'm not a big fan of RPGs, thanks!! How is Dragon Force 2, btw??

Where it comes to 3D fighters in My opinion. Get Fighters Mega Mix - masses of characters from all the best Sega games Get Virtua Fighter 2 - Yes some of its characters are in Fighters Mega Mix but Virtua Fighter plays differently and is a deeper game Get Last Bronx - Awesome and underappreciated Don't get Virtua Fighter Kids - its a gimmick, and some of the characters are in Megamix anyway Don't get Fighting Vipers - Its characters are in megamix and unlike Virtua Fighter 2 the actual game plays like Megamix too

Yes, I play Shining Force III on my import Saturn on and off. If the system had more good games like SF3, it may have fareda little bit better.

I used to own a Sega Saturn, I had two of them, the Black Model 1 PAL System and a White Model 2 Japanese Model. Which then later on I sold both of them ( Which I really regret now ), loved the system to death, alot of great games were out there for it. I grabbed the Japanese Model since the games over there are dirt cheap compared to down here, It was a killer system for fighting games really enjoyed these ones; - Virtua Fighter 1 & 2 - Fighting Vipers - Fighters Megamix - Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 - Mortal Kombat 2 - Marvel Super Heroes - Street Fighter Alpha 1 & 2 - X-Men: Children of the Atom - X-Men vs Street Fighter Then some other neat games like Nights, Daytona and Panzer Dragoon ( Never got a hold of Zwei or Saga, Saga is really expensive! ). The controller was awesome, more of a slight variation of the Megadrive one but It was great for the Fighting games.

Another good Saturn import title is Night Striker S from Taito, think of it as a cross between a driving game, a shooter, and something similar to Space Harrier, and you have a winning formula. The game also followed a branched stage path similar to Taito's own Darius series.
