tha revolutionary dreamcast title makes an early exit from tha world of games. which is highly deflating for shenmue admirers world over. we may possibly, also be unfortunate beings who may never get a taste of tha masterpiece's succession. then again i alwasys hope and wish, tha shenmue series is given tha life it truly deserves.

Although....... Beyond Good and Evil 2 finally got in the works, so anything is possible.

I just got rid of the Wii...just not my type of console. If Shenmue I & II are remade for the Wii in the future then i'll have to pick one up again. I'll just have to slap a sticker "Dreamcast 2" on top of the Wii.

I'll never get rid of my Wii, but in my mind I generally refer to it as Nintendo 256, since the idiot name Wii makes me think of Reggie and Cammie...

as far as the nintendo 256 i just can't begin to even think of replacing my original sega consoles for it just because now there are new versions of Nights, Samba De Amigo, Sonic, House of the Dead. As far as Shenmue....that is where they cross the line into me having to purchasing it again >:[

As crazy as this sounds Nintendo is coming closer to their end. Other than the DS...i don't see anything else left with them. What else can they do...Wii-2 ...DS-2 ? Same rehashed Mario, Zelda...

Sega is still not done yet. Their software line up might be bad at the moment but if 1 of the major console step down they have a chance. It's bound to happen in the next 5-10 years. I'm sure we'll see more Shenmue in some shape or form. It's just a matter of waiting now.

As much as I loved Sega as a kid, I don't see them lasting ten more years. They're they one's rehasing, if I never see another 3D Sonic title, I'd be better off. If they decided to put a major emphasis on their back catalogue of games and again attempt to do with the Wii what they did with the Xbox (New Shinobi, Toe jam and earl, Shenmue, Jet Grind, Panzer Dragoon, etc.) then they might actually gain back some ground and credibility.

The way I see it, Sega has been dead and buried for more than 5-6 years, followed by Nintendo who is quickly sliding downhill with their suicidal mommy-games policy.

Someone may object: why suicidal? They're making more money than ever. True, but they're abandoning core players, and casual players (main DS&Wii target) get tired fast of the 'new thing' and when this happens Nintendo will be left with no more core players to support them and will be cut out from the market.
