As we have all play "first-person-shooters" ranging far back in to the stratosphere, should first person shooters adapt a new feel.
For example games like rainbow six tho this is merely a third fps game wrapped around a 3rd person game it contained a tactic that simply made the game what it is today. but games like fear and others that utilize a tilt feature tho this can be used on any situation behind a rock car anything that is horizontal to the ground and sight of view, tho this is good.
My question is should game developers make a gun that can switch from one hand to the next while tilting i mean come on if you in a war would you look at a rock while trying to get a angle on a enemy, most ai's that are scripted with in games are designed to make games stand out while you stand still wondering why you're stuck between a rock and hard place.
If game developers ignore these things because they believe it has no purpose for their games then i disagree. all games should either have a option feature with out threatening their titles, while in my opinion it should be common, especially in hard games, id love to have a choice to switch from right hand to left while tilting on angle, then switch back as the situation changes. so far it's mainly a feature that is in 3rd person games and still not all game developers endorse these features on all platforms, and a variation of titles on pc and 360 and ps3, all have limited views on what should be implements or not,
fear,Rainbow six, ghost recon, red dead redemption These games are examples to why it is good to have a feature that shouldn't be forced on developers but a option developers should consider as fun and engaging
You could be in a Abrams tank and as a gunner you notice a huge barrel near your ear, you could switch from first person to 3rd person so you can get a better angle, or have tilt feature so you can see along side the tank, i mean there are a tone of ideas, but to make let's say halo for example for traditional shooter with no feature but with a heavy ai that can really obliterate you you ask the question wouldn't it be good to have a edge.
far cry1 and 2 is traditional
I could go on for hours but you get the idea.
So would it bother you to have these features would you want them would they help or would they be killing the game. as i said it's optional
Can you list a few titles you remember playing that had interesting features on pc or console would you want these features in todays games or not.
Excluding modded games
As i said i am referring too having the ability to switch guns from right hand to left giving you an edge while not ruining the game if it's not your thing turn it off? if it makes the game more tactical submersed so be it, but least it's an improvement.
picture splinter cell right hand to left hand, tho this is 3rd person game, great game at the time ubisoft has always been known for adding new flair to games. not even crysis has this feature apart from duel welded guns. at times it's a nightmare knowing an enemy's shooting at you while you need cover, while the gun is positioned in your right hand you cannot get that feel when scoping from the left side of a rock, corner, or what ever i just think it should be more common. it doesn't necessary have to be gun swithcing hands, just a tilt feature something with an edge
