I guess it depends what other options the game has to offer, if the story mode is 8- 10 hours, but offers good multi-player, then I guess you're getting your money's worth.

For me, I don't play too much online or co-op, so I like the game to be atleast 12-15 hours long, aslong as its not too repetitive.

Obviously when a game is bad, you don't want to endure it for more than 8+, but when a game is good (specifically a good story, reasonable graphics, and fun gameplay) I personally would like it to go on, possibly even 20+ hours. That is why I loved games like Oblivion, Fallout 3, and KotOR 1 and 2. Not only do they have very, very highreplay value, but the first Playing takes at least 15 hours.Just so you know,I managed to play (and mess around with cheats on) oblivion for around four months. That was my favorite game of all time, untill Fallout 3, which is essentially the same game.

edit: missed some spaces

Rather they were shorter. I don't have time to game continuously.

For a hardcore gamer, long games is the most exiting to play. But for me as an ordinary gamer, long or short both are exited.
